Welcome to 45 Salt Rock Court with great views of Shortoff Mountain. From top to bottom, all three floors have been completely updated in 2021. Our open floor plan, 4 beds/4 baths and multiple decks create great spaces for families. We are dog friendly and have a gated side yard. Whether you are here for a summer vacation, family holiday or extended stay you can't beat the convenience of being 1.5 miles from Downtown Highlands and the safety of the HFCC gated community.
Tucked into the trees, 45 Salt Rock’s open spaces and many windows give you a treehouse feeling. Decks or balconies off each bedroom offer privacy and perfect places to snuggle up with a good book or a private chat. The large living room deck offers bird watching, star gazing, reading with views of Shortoff Mountain with or without company.
45 Salt Rock has a multi-level layout. Entering the lower level, you’ll find a large second master with king bed en-suite and private deck, the laundry area and garage. Up the staircase, on the main floor brings you to a bright light filled open plan living room with gas fireplace, dining and kitchen area with a mud room and grill deck overlooking the side garden. The vaulted ceiling and large windows in the master bedroom overlook a secluded woods and the deck is tucked away to offer a quiet book nook or yoga time. The second bedroom has a queen bed, full bath and a private deck that takes you out to the fenced garden. The 3rd floor loft has a large king bedroom with en-suite and private balcony. Whether you’re bringing in a meal from one of Highland’s great restaurants, opening a pizza box or making Thanksgiving dinner from scratch you’ll find our kitchen is well-equipped. Each of 45 Salt Rock’s 4 bedrooms have new memory foam mattresses, luxury count sheets, and memory foam pillows ensuring you’ll feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and most importantly… well-rested ready for a hike to a waterfall or walk around town. We provide oversized bath towels and Gilchrest & Soames Bee Kind bath amenities. There's drive way parking for 3 vehicles and a grill off the kitchen/mudroom side porch. We are dog lovers and our side garden is fenced with easy access from the mud room. A $250 pet fee applies. Our location in Highland Falls Country Club is so close to downtown Highlands makes it easy to attend the live concerts, arts and crafts shows, and seasonal farmers markets held at Kelsey Hutchinson Park, or one of the live performances at the Performing Arts Center or Playhouse. The Highlands Rec Center offers visitors daily or weekly options to use the heated/covered pool, take classes or reserve time on the outside tennis and pickleball courts. Our guests do not have access to the club's facilities. Only Club members and their guests are permitted to use these facilities. Another great stay!
This was the second time we’ve stayed at this property and — again — it did not disappoint! The location is great — very nice gated community and a great view, and very close to town. The house is nice, open and tons of natural light. It’s also very well appointed, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with the things you need to cook a nice meal. We would stay there again!

Away for Holiday…
We had our first opportunity to visit Highlands NC with our daughter-in-laws family who traditionally go every year to their home on Scaly Mountain. This rental property allowed us to enjoy everyone in one home during down time… the location made for easy access to downtown and all the activities that this time of year offers… our dog also had the best of both worlds with being part of the family fun and having a phenomenal backyard to roam and explore..

Wonderful House in an Excellent Location!
This house suited our needs perfectly! The location is fabulous -- really close to Main Street in Highlands, but you still have a great view and feel like you're away. The neighborhood is designed well so you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbors and have great privacy. The house was perfect for a few nights with our three kids and then several nights without them after we dropped them at camp. The beds are really comfortable, all linens were a good quality (we're picky!), the kitchen is well-equipped and functional, and the house, furniture and amenities are very nice. The yard was so convenient for our dog. To top it all off, this is the first time we've stayed in the area that I've actually had cell service in the home we've stayed in. Love this property -- would definitely go back!
