Ferry Cove - Private low bank beachfront property.

At the end of a small lane, this property is a time capsule from the past. The large low bank beach is full of driftwood, sand and a gorgeous view of the cascade mountains. At lower tide, you can walk for miles, see wildlife and enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest at its best. The house is masterfully and artistically designed. Special touches make it feel like a beach cabin from the 1950s with a bit of luxury. Situated just north of the Clinton-Mukilteo ferry, you can easily walk on the ferry to make for an easy city getaway.

The living room is cozy and beautifully decorated with a comfortable couch, game table, log fireplace, smart TV and a gorgeous view. The dining room has a table that seats 10 and can be expanded to fit more. The coffee bar is stocked with coffee, tea and hot chocolate at all times. And the kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with spices, cookware and plenty of dishes for your group.

The upper floor holds two bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower. The spacious main bedroom has a king bed, large closet, desk, dresser and gorgeous view of the Puget Sound. The bunk room is a perfect and playful hideaway for kids or adults willing to sleep in XL twin bunk beds.

The main floor of the house has another beautiful bedroom with a king-sized bed. The full bathroom on this floor has a tub/shower.

The basement has been remodeled in to an incredible bunk room in the shape of a ferry - study the photos to see it! There is also another beautiful captain quarters-themed bedroom in the basement with a queen bed.

The basement level also holds a full bathroom, laundry room and supply closet.

The large wrap around deck is where you will find yourself in the morning, afternoon and night sipping coffee, enjoying a meal, reading and watching the world around Whidbey. It's a perfect place to gather with a nice sound system and Adirondack chairs.

The yard holds an herb garden, hammock, picnic table, porch swing, tree swing, bbq fire pit and a bonfire pit. We have paddle boards, kayaks and life jackets for your use as well!

Ferry Cove is truly a remarkable vacation property and we hope you enjoy your stay! We would love to have you!

Everything was great. Check in was easy. The house was super clean and so cute! It was well stocked with everything we needed. It was fun to watch the ferry, but didn't have any problem with noise from it. We were supposed to have grandchildren stay with us, but they didn't make it until about 2 hours before we checked out due to delays with the ferry. The little time she was there my almost 3 year old granddaughter loved exploring the house.

Fantastic stay

Our family loved our stay, and are already looking forward to coming back again. The location is amazing, the home has so many fun details, and it’s stocked with everything you need. Fun at the Ferry house

Our family spent four nights at the Ferry house and had a great time. The house is beautiful, clean and had everything we needed for six adults and three kids. We all enjoyed the beautiful beach and it was nice to have a yard with grass as well. Everything was perfectly maintained, and there was plenty of space and variety to keep everyone busy and happy! We are already planning to return next summer!

Fun Getaway!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ferry Cove. House was nicely designed and decorated to match the ‘ferry’ theme. It was a great experience and would have been enjoyed even more if we would have had some youngsters with us, with the very clever downstairs renovation and the beach access right outside the door. Great family vacation rental.

This house is outstanding. The detail that has been put into it are by far some of the best I have seen. Comfort and charm were not spared. this place is a visual jackpot! its in a fantastic location, just off the ferry landing. There is a wonderful deck to relax on and watch the coming and going of the ferry or just look out over the water. We defiantly plan on booking again.

Incredible Property

Ferry Cove was an awesome place to stay. 5 of us were there for a work retreat and it was such a great location to get away and detach from everyday life. The design and decor in the house is wonderful. The ferry bunk room and captains quarters are so cool, kids would have a blast staying there. The kitchen is very well equipped including spices, plastic wrap and everything you would have at home. We had a couple of questions and the owner, Brooke, responded immediately to our texts. Booking our next visit right now!

Our stay

This is a truly special place. Having kayaks and SUPs on site with PFDs for use was really good. Having a full laundry was also necessary for all the activities. The kitchen was well stocked. The views of the water, ferry, and wildlife was spectacular. The lights on the pier and ferry at night was beautiful. The fire pit is a special touch, with a gas start-up, requiring firewood. Walking at low-tide also allowed us to make new discoveries.

Slice of Heaven

Amazing home with all the extras. Check-in was easy and instructions were easy to understand. The downstairs was a space for the kids who loved the bunk style and the bean bags. Everything was thought of in this rental. Location to the ferry was so nice, and there was almost no noise. Neighbors were friendly. Our favorites were drinking coffee on the deck to watch the sun rise, and the fire pit in the yard to finish the night. Thank you for allowing us to rent this space - would love to come back!

Location and house amazing

The location is just as advertised- private, beach, sets from the ferry, just amazing!!!!! The house is beautifully decorated! A lot of vacation rentals can feel dated but this house was beautiful and fun, cute. It also had all the amenities I could ask for. The people- super responsive offered us an early check in and late check out. Greeted with a super yummy chocolate and welcome card! Very nice touch. Super responsive! We had our little family with us with litt kiddos the loved loved the beach, we made s’mores had a movie night it was perfection! Could not ask for more!!

Memory Making

What a fabulous property!! We have a family get away once a year where we are truly removed from the world and it's just US. In our 9 year tradition this was the ultimate place that checked off all the boxes: location (quiet and private), clean, perfect communication with Brooke, comfortable spaces, well equiped kitchen, water sport equipment, outdoor games, endless board games that brought back childhood memories....I could go on and on. Everything has been carefully thought through for guests' comfort. The children loved the freedom of being able to go to the beach, swing, hammock, or just in their "ferry". We loved that we could completely relax and enjoy the peace and each other. Thank you Brooke and Ryan for your thoughtfulness and generosity in providing this memory making opportunity!

Perfect all around

Location was perfect...beautiful yard on the beach, quiet end of street, walk to the ferry and the coffee stand (seldom heard the ferry). Kids fished from the shore and caught a bullhead, dug in the sand, used the hot outdoor shower a lot, and we all enjoyed the seating on the wraparound deck. The house is wonderful with fun comfortable decor of a "summer" home or kids camp. Two King size rooms, a small bunk room that worked great for a 6 and 8 year old and one bathroom downstairs and another one up. With kids on the beach, laundry in the basement was a huge plus. Kitchen has enough dinnerware to serve a crowd and two nice picnic tables on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view and a nice big dining table with a view. Need a/c? yep it was there. Perfect all around.

Way too much fun

We had a great time here! And I didn't even get to see the basement until the last day. Parents: Don't let your kids (even big kids) see the basement. It is way too well designed to look like a ferry. They even use moisture sealed lamps like on real ferries. Your kids will have way too much funl They won't let you sign up for any other VRBO houses. (Be sure not to give them your password.) One wall has an actual photograph of inside a ferry, filling the whole wall. The rest of the house was fun, too, just not as much. OK, the industrial sized coffee maker tends to overfill. Keep a second carafe nearby to swap in at the right time. Also, the induction stove works just fine, which we liked, as we are planning one for our own house. The kitchen has plenty of plates and cups, so you don't have to rush them into the dishwasher. Overall, yes, way too much fun!

This place was over the top AMAZING!! From the second you drive in you see the fantastic touches that surpass any VRBO I have ever stayed at. The location can’t be beat but it is also the inviting decor and theme rooms of the house that truly put this over the top!!! Can’t wait to come again!!!!

Fabulous! The house is very comfortable, spotless, and beautifully renovated. It was perfect for 3 'mature' women except the bed situation. We didn't realize that the bunk beds weren't designed for adults (even small adults). Other than that, it was wonderful.

Amazing!!

This property is by far the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in! The location is perfect to enjoy all of whidbey Island and is literally 1 minute from the ferry terminal. While the ferry terminal is very near the property there was almost no noise from the ferry’s themselves. The location is overall very quiet and we loved watching the seals swim around every morning and evening. Almost nobody on the beach except for a local every now and then out for a walk. The house itself is beautiful! The decor is so thoughtful, beds were comfortable, and they had all the basics you would need i.e. shampoo, conditioner, body wash, seasonings, condiments etc. The wraparound porch, picnic tables, gas fire pit and yard allow you to enjoy the beautiful view. We have an almost 6 year old and 2 year old and the house itself is very kid friendly with a pack and play! There are kayaks and standup paddleboard‘s along with lifejackets to enjoy the water!! Amazing to have this as part of the rental. Brooke was so responsive! We asked her at the last minute if we could stay for one additional night and without hesitation she said yes! Can’t thank her enough for the hospitality, amazing property and willingness to work with us at the last minute. We are already going to book for an entire week next summer!

Beautiful short stay on Whidbey

We had an idyllic stay at Ferry Cove. The house is absolutely darling, full of chic modern amenities with whimsical “camp” touched that made it a warm and fun home base. We spent each morning sipping coffee and watching the harbor seals bobbing and playing curiously in the water in front of the house, and had a couple visits from a bald eagle nesting nearby. The location is VERY convenient to exploring the south side of the island and of course to the ferry. We worried the ferry might be loud or intrusive, but it truly didn’t bother us at all. We grilled on the deck, sat around the fire pit at night, and enjoyed driving around the island and visiting the beaches and the town of Langley. Overall, a beautiful short stay with friends - we wish we could have stayed longer! Brooke was communicative and helpful. We would love to return for another stay the next time we’re on the West Coast!

Absolute Perfection!!

Our family wasn't checked into this property 20 minutes before I pulled out my phone and reserved it again for next year! The house itself was immaculately remodeled, attention to detail and quality was amazing; best I have ever seen at a rental property and I've been to A LOT! Comfortable, clean, natural light throughout. The property was equally as enjoyable and very obviously loved and taken care of. Hammock was the best, sandy beach was 30 ft from the beautiful lawn and the gas fire pit was so nice at night!! Hosts were so accommodating and responsive. Cannot rave enough! I would note- restaurants and food service on the island are pretty unreliable, we had to switch to eating out a night or two to cooking in but no worries...kitchen, deck and dining room were perfect for our BBQs and meals. 10/10 for Ferry Cove!!

Wonderful experience on Whidbey Island

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this beach house on Whidbey Island. The home was extremely clean and in a great shape. We loved spending time on the waterfront, including hanging out around the fire pit and playing spikeball. While the Clinton ferry is very close by, we didn't really hear it and it didn't bother us. The owner communicated easy to follow check in and check out instructions. We'd definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful property.

Ferry Cove
Like a dream!

We stayed for a week and did not want to leave. This property is THAT special. We found it exactly as described and just as pictured. It was charming, fun, comfortable, relaxing, and well appointed. We especially loved the dining room and beverage bar area, where we played games and left messages for each other and documented our activities on the chalkboard. We had fun using the intercom, outdoor dinner bell, hammock, and fire pit. The framed SmartTV that looked like art was something else! So neat. The extra touches and decor were so appreciated and not lost on us. We loved everything about the house, even down to the hidden message written inside the upstairs desk drawer. This house should be featured in Sunset Magazine. It’s just that special and we will always remember our time here fondly. The location is incredible. The views of the Possesion Sound, Hat Island, and Mt. Baker are breathtaking. We spent hours upon happy hours beach combing up and down the cove’s beach. We never saw anyone else on the beach, except for some regular visits from the deer, sea lions, egrets, and bald eagles. When not exploring the beach, or other parts of the island, we loved watching the ferries come and go and were surprised by how quiet they were. They were magical at night, all twinkly out on the water. It truly was like a dream. Dream house. Dream setting. Dream adventures. Brooke was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive to my questions and she allowed us to check in early. We are so grateful to her and her husband for creating and offering us their little slice of Heaven on Earth.

Whidbey Island is a beautiful way to experience the Puget Sound. You can catch the ferry at the Mukilteo terminal 35 minutes north of Seattle. Take the 15 minute ferry ride and Ferry Cove is just a quick walk or drive from the ferry dock.

The house is located on a long and beautiful beach - close to the ferry, but quiet private as it's at the end of a lane without a neighbor to the north.
