Small Families and Fishermen welcome! Boat ramp/fire pit/kayaks.

This Lake Darbonne lake house is 1600sq. ft. It’s a comfy, cozy home with beautiful views. Awesome deck, yard( double lot), boathouse(single boat lift), dock, boat ramp on the property, extra lot next door for parking vehicles and boat trailers, fire pit with wood, 3 kayaks for you to use. ( we have 4 orange life jackets, or bring your own if you prefer). We do not allow parties, events, or gatherings. ONLY APPROVED GUESTS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY ( your 7 or less ). For liability reasons, we are very strict about this rule and appreciate your understanding. If our place fits your small family or group's needs, we’d love to have you.

Our stay at your beautiful lake front property was the perfect choice. Your home was immaculately kept inside and out! It was a wonderful, family-friendly place. We fished, hiked at the nearby park, and the kids went kayaking! Oh, how we hope to come again for another visit someday.

Holiday family vacation

This place is as promised. Great ,clean ,comfortable and everything you need for a good weekend getaway or a week of relaxation. There was 7 of us and we had plenty of space and something for everyone to do or just to do nothing at all. Would definitely stay here again if we go that way again.

This house was perfect in every way right down to the bathroom towels! The kayaks and paddle boat were a big hit with the kids! We will definitely be back!

Family fishing fun trip! Our family had so much fun at this lake house. Our weekend was full of fishing, kayaking, games, and family. If you are looking to relax and unwind, this is the place for you! Pictures don’t it justice. This place is beautiful.

Nice stay

While it’s in a neighborhood, it felt very private. Property was very clean and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable and linens were nice. Kitchen is fairly small but adequate. Good seating options inside and out. We enjoyed the paddle boat and some outdoor toys. Communication with the host was great! Would definitely stay again.

Anniversary Get-Away

House and property are great - a private boat ramp with nice dock/pier, paddle boat and kayaks. The house was nicely furnished, kitchen well stock. Host even provided bottled water and snacks!! It was a great retreat even though it rained. Would definitely rent this lake house again!!

Enjoyed our stay on the lake
 Kayaks and Paddle boat a huge plus for our teenagers
super comfy beds
close to Farmersville which was quite convenient. Sunset views on lake were spectacular.

Sweet Escape

This was perfect for my husband and I.The view was amazing. It was clean and quiet and very well maintained. Mrs Dee and her husband are very nice caring people, they checked us periodically throughout our stay to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything!!! Mr Doug came in from fishing and gave us fresh fish that we cleaned and enjoyed. Mrs Dee and her husband really made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back!!!

Easter Break Get-Away

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Lake House - both of our daughters enjoyed fishing off the pier, we rode our bikes, had smores, drank coffee on the swing - grilled our favorite sausage & boudin while listening to great tunes, just a great time! Mrs. Dee has a real gem here - everything was easy to locate or use! Hoping to return as soon as we can - Thank you so much for such a welcoming place.

Turning 65 at the lake

In a word-WONDERFUL! Water view was beautiful. Lake house was extremely clean & comfortable. Had all we needed & more. Host went above & beyond to help us feel welcomed & familiarized with the area. Weekend getaway

It was simply fantastic! Beautiful view and house. Everything was very well organized. Loved the boat dock and having the boat ramp was fantastic. Woke up and fell asleep looking at the lake and wildlife. Looking forward to another trip there.

Fantastic Lake House

This was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view. The house is tastefully decorated, very welcoming, has comfortable furniture and is clean. The great views of the lake from walls of windows was so wonderful & peaceful. We enjoyed watching an eagle flying around and turtles sunning out on a log. The adjoining boat ramp on the property to launch our boat & the boat dock were also very appreciated. This place is one you return to time and again. It’s that good! Thank you for having us! We’ll be back!

I'm a retired teacher and this was my parents' weekend get away. My husband and I have taken it over, renovated it and hope to continue making family memories here. We hope small families will enjoy time here and love it as much as we do.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Our lakehouse is very roomy with beautiful views from the main rooms. You won't find a cleaner place either. We do all of the cleaning, yard work and upkeep ourselves. It's a labor of love.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Lake D'arboonne is one of the best crappie lakes in the south. We've hosted numerous fishermen/women who love our place because it has a boat ramp and plenty of parking on the property. Families have enjoyed fishing for brim right off the dock.
