Owner met us near the home because we arrived later in the evening. He took the time to show us everything we needed to know. While we ate at local restaurants, the kitchen was very well equipped with all the things you'd need to enjoy meals at the home. Jim was a fantastic host. sharing recommendations for places to see as well as taking us on a boat ride to get a terrific view of the lake.

Beat host in the universe

The property is great and in a perfect location. Only 10 min from the lifts. Jim, the host, is the best host I have ever had. He went well beyond the norm and took care of us absolutely perfectly. I’ll be back for sure

Beautiful views from living room

My husband and I wanted to get out of the Texas heat and experience different scenery. We really enjoyed our stay. Donnelly is a very small town but has a coffee joint and a few small restaurants. McCall isn't too far and has a lot more to offer in terms of restaurants. We ate at two that had lake views (one Mexican, the other Mediterranean. As for the home, the views were stunning. We spent a lot of time gazing at the views, both from the living room and the deck area. It was very close to the beautiful ski resort and all it had to offer. The bed was comfy. The kitchen was stocked. Jim was super helpful. Would definitely return.

Incredible location and property

I brought my family here for a holiday weekend getaway, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this cabin. The cabin was very clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Boot drier, nice new washing machine and drier, fire pit, smart tv easy to connect, nice pots and pans, plenty of dishes, silverware, extra blankets and pillows, soap and shampoo in case owe didn’t bring ours, and even a nice welcome basket thoughtfully prepared. The location is exceptionally good because of being off the main road in a little loop away from the ski traffic, but still right next to Tamarack. And having our own space, not crammed into a townhouse surrounded by other people, was awesome. Went to sleep each night in the king bed looking out over the lake, and woke each morning to dawn over the lake. We gained such great family memories here! Thank you!

Home away from Home

Perfect for a family getaway!

Jim was wonderful! His family home was full of character and had a beautiful view to wake up to with the giant windows! We had fun playing games, it took minutes to get to tamarack, my kids loved exploring in the snow, a quiet area at a dead end which was great, we roasted s’mores at the fire pit, it was exactly what we were hoping for out of our stay in Donnelly. We’d love to come back! Also, the beds were sooo comfy!! I actually took pictures of some of the brands of linens to buy for our bed at home! :)

Cabin by the lake

I can't say enough about the comfort of the beds and luxury linens. So wonderful. The cabin was great, very clean and comfortable. Jim is a amazing host and went over and above to accommodate us and our needs. My favorite was the view from the picture windows...ever-changing from dawn til dusk. Thank you for letting our family stay at your beautiful cabin.

Ski and Fishing stay

The property is very clean and welcoming. It has plenty of space for trailers and easy access to the lake for fishing. Also, Tamarack is only a short drive down the road. Owner was very nice and had great communication.

Amazing Location

The perfect location for a getaway. We enjoyed our stay. My wife can’t wait to bring our kids back for the summer. We will definitely be back. Jim is a fantastic host. The view from the cabin is breathtaking.

The 4 Season Cabin

We had an absolute blast staying here! Jim is an amazing communicator, explained everything about the cabin and surrounding area, and answered all of the questions my wife and I had. The cabin itself was very cozy and a great fit for our large family. The rustic feel of the log cabin was the vibe we were looking for, cleanliness was top notch, and Jim keeps the cabin stocked with extra blankets, towels, and board games galore. You can’t beat the location, 2 minutes from the Village at Tamarack, and just across the street from the lake. We absolutely will be staying here again soon, and look forward to some summer days on the balcony overlooking Cascade Reservoir.
