Welcome to the Saint John Inn! This newly remodeled home is in the Historic District of Downtown Lafayette, LA. Located directly across the street from Johnson's Boucaniere and mere steps from the historic St. John Cathedral, the Saint John Inn is within walking distance to all Downtown has to offer!
This beautifully furnished historic home features 5 Bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The downstairs space features a large open living area with a smart TV, a dining room (complete with a beautiful John James Audobon accent wall) that opens to the well appointed and fully stocked kitchen. The master bedroom and its massive en suite bathroom with a claw foot tub is the perfect place to relax and the additional downstairs bedroom featuring a twin daybed and twin trundle doubles as the perfect place to work (although we hope you don't have to!) The upstairs space features a large additional living area complete with Smart TV, three additional bedrooms and a large full bathroom. Outside, the large front porch is an ideal space to rock or swing the day away while sipping a cold beverage and taking it all in, and the huge rear deck is the perfect place to grill, relax and entertain! The home has some smart features as well! Enjoy Alexa, as well as surround sound entertainment with Sonos. All TV’s are smart and equipped with streaming services as well as digital cable so you never miss a game! Free high speed WiFi is also provided. This home has been updated with every modern convenience while maintaining the charm of its original design and layout. This is a return stay for our family, 2024 Mardi Gras now Wedding/Christmas Celebration. The Saint John Inn is very walkable to Downtown, Johnson’s Boucaniere across the street and Bon Vie for desserts make this location perfect,

We loved our stay at the Saint John Inn. The home was beautiful, clean, and spacious. It is close to Downton which made exploring Lafayette easy! We would definitely stay here again.

July 4th wedding weekend

Our son got married in Youngsville on July 4th. Our family all stayed together in this spacious, comfortable home. The venue was about 20 mins away and other events and gatherings were 10 to 20 mins away so location was not too bad. Only downside was the roaches in the house. And because it’s an older home and it was July, it was hard to keep the house cool during the day while getting ready for our events.

Overnight stay

My husband and 4 kids ages 10-17 were traveling through to Florida. The home allowed all kids to have their own space and was secured with an alarm system, which made us feel better. The home was very welcoming and comfortable for all of us.

St John Inn

The only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to not having enough coffee for 7 ladies after specifically asking about it. I had to drive to McDonald’s. The fan in one upstairs bedroom did not work. Otherwise it was clean, well appointed and safe.

Great stay in Layfette

Highly recommend this rental while in Layfette! 5 star! Great location in town. Close to restaurants and bars. Comfy and spacious! We enjoyed our time and will be back! Thank you.

Fun House and Neighborhood

Two generations in town for a family reunion. Cousins stayed here. Loved being in town, great food and entertainment options from this big sunny home. Very comfortable with multiple places to gather. Hosts friendly and helpful.

Disappointing communication

The details for check in were not provided until after 10 am day of our check in. They were accurate. However, when we arrived at the property for a family wedding, we could not find a simple kitchen item. It was clear that at one point the property had one, however, I was concerned that may be a theft had occurred from the property. I notified the property manager at the same time we had suspicions. The property manager never returned my call. After we left the property I noticed that a family member had lost an earring. So we sent the property manager an email concerning it, and to date, we have received no response. Overall, I sent three emails to the property manager and left one voicemail and none were responded to any.

We had a very nice stay at saint John inn( we were two families of 4), the house is big and nicely decorated. Nice location to visit the surroundings (Lake Martin, Vermillionvillage, atcafalaya bassin,
).
