Great stay at the porch house for a week! We appreciated the little things (fire wood, kids plates/sippy, laundry detergent/dryer sheets-even though we brought our own) The place was super clean & well maintained. Plenty of parking (4 trucks, 2 with boats). The stay was peaceful & quiet. Make sure you bring everything you need as it is a little ways away from a store. The scenery was beautiful & we cannot wait to come back!

AMAZING place with everything you may need. The back porch view is fabulous! The golf cart wasn’t available during our trip, but the house was just a short walk to the water, so it was no big deal. We had issues booking the kayaks for additional days, and the host was super helpful and responsive. We hung out on the beach one day, and rented a boat one day that we were able to beach near the house to easily load/unload everyone. We loved this place!

The place awesome, very clean and our family enjoyed the huge porch, swimming, kayaking and the use of the golf cart at reasonable rate. WiFi is excellent and the speakers on the porch are nice. Fire pit was fun at night. Swimming right at the property with lake access or short drive to other attractions if wanted. We definitely will try book the Porch House again.

Peaceful getaway

This property was perfect for our family to get away for a few days. The house was well stocked with all the basics plus extras! Loved having the option to rent kayaks and the golf cart. Property managers were very quick to respond to any questions. Look forward to returning when the weather is even warmer.

Great Place!

The house was very clean and looks just like the pictures! There are few dogs in the area, so if you are bringing your dog this is something to consider. We brought our dog and he got along with the neighborhood's dogs so was not an issue for us. All the dogs were friendly.

We had a blast, great location, water was perfect and we couldn’t have been happier with the cleanliness and accommodations of this house. Owner welcomed us and was always available if we needed anything. Fantastic stay!!!

We loved the Porch House!

I decided to book with Reid and Whitney because of the awesome location! This trip was partially for my 2 dogs, Aspen and Piper. Aspen is an ex street dog who has severe anxiety around other people/animals and this was the perfect place for her to unwind and let her guard down. I was slightly worried after seeing a review about the neighbors dog that “runs loose”, however I didn’t let this detour me from this gorgeous place! We did see the dog mentioned in the review, but he never barked or come over onto the property. it was well behaved and stayed in his own yard! Aspen wasn’t bothered at all! The back porch and the hammock chairs rocked our socks off!! Not only is it a beautiful place to stay, it’s also stocked with anything you may need. A plethora of dishes and utensils, hair driers, makeup wipes, shaving kits, and so much more! Thanks to Reid and Whitney for being awesome hosts, we will definitely be recommending this place!

Comfortable Stay

My husband and elderly Brother in law got up early every day to go hunting, while my sister-in-law and I stayed all day at the house. We had our small dogs with us. There is a huge deerhound in the neighborhood that belongs to a neighbor. They allow this dog to run loose out of control. When we would take our yorkies out in the yard to take care of business, this giant dog would come running toward us causing great fear. We would have to run inside for safety. When I saw the owner of the huge dog I asked her if she would control her dog that it is scaring my littles. She responded with "we live here". So basically she was unconcerned about anyone but herself and her giant dog. I say all of this to warn you, if you choose to bring your pets, please don't leave them alone outside for one second. The beds were comfortable in the master bedroom and the bunk bed room. However, the back bedroom needs a new mattress. The kitchen was easy to work in. Very clean and orderly. If you plan to cook, bring your own pans as their pans need to be replaced. There were plenty of serving dishes, nice utensils, plenty of coffee cups and glasses. They have a nice washer and dryer to use if you stay for a long period of time. We were there for a whole week over Thanksgiving. There are games to play in the closet. The TV in living room takes a minute to figure out how to use but works great!. The back porch was a cool hang out if the weather permits. The view of the lake is wonderful.

Family Stay at the Lake

Amazing property. Perfect lakeside location. Back patio was awesome for hanging out during the evening. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were just right for our group. Reid and Whitney were amazing hosts. Highly recommend.

Amazing location and home

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s walking distance to the lake and the home is very clean. Cooking ware and utensils are a little on the slim side, but we were able to make do. Cute home with plenty of things to do!!
