Beachfront home with pristine, calm waters, white sands and unbelievable sunset

Take a very short walk to two restaurants and bars with live music and activities, a dive shop, and only a 5 min drive to West End. We guess that you'll spend most of your time on the spacious semi-covered wraparound deck enjoying the island breezes, the expansive ocean view, resting in the hammock watching the sun go down.

The house is made from island hardwoods inside and out and meticulously cared for. Tall vaulted ceilings welcome you in, with 2 bedrooms on the main floor. The master has an en-suite bathroom, and another full bathroom is on the main floor between the two bedrooms. The upper loft has a private balcony, two twin beds, and is perfect for kids. A separate small studio apartment is available on the ground level for extra guests - it has a queen sized bed, kitchenette amenities, and a full bath with ocean view window - contact us for details or see our separate listing for the 6 person option. The entire home has AC units in each room, and WiFi.

The kitchen is well equipped for anything you may need. The living area has plenty of seating, a TV, table for playing board games, and a futon for sitting, resting, or extra guests to sleep. The entire place is yours!

There is a deck under the house for shade and a freshwater showerhead for rinsing off after playing in the sun, sand and sea. The property is filled with native tropical plants and trees. Geckos and beautiful birds are sure to be seen and heard!

The house is protected by a full security system monitored locally by Bulldog Security. The house has two short flights of stairs to enter., and there is room for one vehicle to park if you choose to rent a car during your stay.

Wonderful place to stay

This property has a beautiful view of Sandy Bay! Very clean and comfortable! Had everything we needed. Loved using the kayaks! A short walk to a couple of great restaurants! We enjoyed the Blue Bahia multiple times-highly recommend! We would easily stay again at The Reef House!

Sandy Bay,Beautiful property

If you want a quiet place, this is it ! Ocean view, big house (3bedrooms 2bhatrooms) plus, walking distance restaurants with delicious food:). Got there before our check in time & property manager let us get in before 10, it was really nice. We loved our stay. Really recommend this place:D

This was an excellent find! Directly on the beach, very clean, very well maintained, quiet and secure. There are 2 bedrooms each with a queen bed and 2 baths downstairs and a loft room upstairs with 2 twin beds. A dining area, a living room with a TV that had ESPN and other cable channels. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans you need to cook for yourself, full oven and fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toasters, an array of spices and condiments, water dispenser with a full jug. The deck is large with seating, watch the dive boats go by, people on horses, in the evening you can watch the sunset, perfect. There are a lot of plants in the water and cant go very far out before you hit rough stuff you should not walk on. You can walk the beach to a few nice restaurants. We had a rental car, it is a short drive to get to other attractions. Highly recommend staying here!

Great property overall a few initial problems with the cistern water smell and washing machine drain but the staff was very accessible for correction of any problems. They also power washer one of the a/c units.

Great location and perfect place

Great location. Great views. House was perfect. Listing didn’t say there was three bedrooms. Had we known we may have invited another couple. Water was shallow so perfect if guests had small children. Would definitely stay here again and hope to in the future.

Great vacation home

The Reef Beach House was just as described online. It had everything needed for a great vacation. The outdoor deck space was large and comfortable with plenty of seating and the perfect spot to relax. The layout of the house was perfect for our family and was well stocked with games, books, beach towels, sand toys and the kayaks were so much fun. Being within walking distance to two great restaurants was amazing!

Wonderful stay

Fantastic place to stay, very clean and well maintained. Close to the reef, so you can swim out and snorkel right from the beach. The jewel of this property is the huge wrap around deck, a portion of which is underneath a large awning with fans and lights. We spent most of our time on that deck outside. The host is quick to respond to questions and made the stay very easy. We opted to rent a car to get around and that suited our vacation very well. There are two nice restaurants close by just a 5 min walk down the beach, but other wise a car is needed to get to groceries or other attractions.

Living it up in Roatan

I would buy this house if it were for sale! Beautiful Honduran hardwood floors. spacious porch, Comfortable beds, and full-sized refrigerator AND No Teflon pans. Great snorkeling right in front, one of the better restaurants on the Island a literal stone's throw away, and superior dive operation just a little further down.I will be back.

Honeymoon

The location was convenient. We spent a lot of time at the Blue Bahia for meals. It was easier than purchasing groceries at a grocery store. The road construction makes things hard. The best grocery store is Elden's in Coxen Hole. The road construction project will be going on for some time. We have friends on the island, so we did not rent a car. We used the bus to go to the west end from Sandy Bay. Taxi's are plenty too if you want to go that route. The water in front of the property is very shallow. It becomes waist deep at the buoy line which is about 150 yards out. I waded out there a couple of times. It was very nice. The beach in front of the house is beautiful. The house is wonderful. The AC helped to make sleeping comfortable at night. We had nice hot showers when needed. Everything you would need is here. Sunsets from the deck are gorgeous!

Fantastic getaway

The house is very comfortable and has the best sunset views from either deck. We spent a lot of time chilling out on both of them. Great communication and quick response from the management team whenever an issue popped up or we had a question. The snorkeling out at the reef in front the of the house was wonderful, but bring a colored float of some kind so boats see you when you’re crossing the boat lane. They were careful to slow down and the traffic isn’t that heavy. I would recommend the dive shop behind Blur Bahia for hitching a ride with a dive boat to snorkel outside the reef. Super nice people there and they’ll make sure to pick a dive where there is also good snorkeling. The only negative the whole time we were there is that the neighbors behind the house have a dog that occasionally barks loudly for a lengthy period of time late at night. Earplugs worked for that. We alternated between cooking (well stocked kitchen with the exception of needing a whisk) and walking down the beach to Blue Bahia or Sunken Fish. Nice places to relax, good food and reasonable prices. Also, there’s a spa down the beach, which was a lovely break from snorkeling. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Great location! Easy walk to very good restaurant. Security system designed to make clients paranoid, we did not use. Bed comfortable, washrooms good, furniture not comfortable (in door dinning - forget it, table and chairs unbearable). Deck furniture good, would have been a good place to eat but the up wind neighbors smoked on their deck all day long. Place in serious need of up dating.

Reef House has great snorkeling right off the beach!

The location of this house is wonderful! We loved our stay here. The snorkeling was excellent right outside the door, across the sand and a short little swim across the turtle grass and coral. Use a divers warning ball or float a life jacket as there can be a lot of boat traffic. The house had everything we wanted. Loved the lovely wood throughout the house and the outdoor spaces nearly doubled the usable spaces. Good shade can be found all day long. There is a friendly black neighborhood cat that was an absolute joy!!
