Great place and great time!

Had a blast in austin and Franklin park was the cherry on top. If you’re looking for a clean place to stay for a long weekend then I would highly recommend Franklin Park

Good location

Stay worked out perfect for us as we needed quick access to South Congress, Lamar and downtown. We were out the entire day but night time was very quiet and comfortable.

Host was great! Very accommodating. It has 3 beds, a shower, and two toilets. I would say it doesn’t have much above the bare minimum, besides a few couches (one broken, and a TV. Other than that this is a very underwhelming experience. The front door required serious effort to close when leaving. It took us 5 minutes on average every single time. The counters were dirty in the kitchen and bathroom. Nothing you can do about it, but it didn’t make for a great experience. Overall 5/10. You are getting exactly what you pay for.

Lovely Austin Homebase

I ended up extending my stay in Austin unexpectedly and the host negotiated with me and helped me when the VRBO app wouldn’t let me extend my stay manually. The place was close to everything I needed in Austin, clean, and comfortable! Will book here again.

The photos show inside well, bright and fun decor. Close to downtown and other places not too far. There’s a rooster and hens next door. Fun time.

3rd Stay Here - Still Great!

I booked another trip here and still recommend the place. When we experienced two days with no electricity (due to the ice storms in Texas knocking out the power lines), the host was understandably unable to help us find another place with such short notice, but was gracious to offer to set up a refund to me for the two nights without power, since we had to spend some money on other accommodations until the power came back on. The host is great to work with and seems to truly care about the guest experience! Highly recommend!

Flip house fail?

The pictures for the listing gives a false perception of how the home truly is. I’ve stayed in VRBO, SEVERAL times and this one really diminished my trust. Mold in the bathroom, floor damage, water damage on several locations(walls and ceilings), broken shower head, old / used towels for bathroom, cut blinds, the seals on the outside doors are non existent, very dirty window & window seals, and overall we experienced less than satisfactory cleanliness in the home. There was a 5-15 hour delay in messaging with the ‘owner’ which made it difficult to communicate these issues. Thankfully we spent very little time in the home itself during our stay. This home has potential but it’s clearly a flip home fail.

Images are no where near updated to its current appeal. The vinyl off the stair cases were mostly chipped and torn off and made for a tripping hazard. The front door (the only door that guarantees safety) was extremely hard to lock from the outside and nearly took two people to close every time we had to leave. The entire place was completely worn down from bathrooms, kitchen area, and the living room. They also had no/VERY limited cleaning products to clean certain things even if you wanted to.

Perfect Budget Stay for a Girls Trip
