The purple door at the bay.

When you see the purple door you will know you have made it to your vacation spot. You will find stunning views any time of the day. Then at dawn or dusk you will think you are in a painting. This property has a full kitchen, living room with 2 couches, two nice size bedrooms with queen size beds, there is a full bathroom with a garden tub with a shower. Then you will find a spiral stair case that leads to the 3rd floor with a couch, another full bathroom with a shower, another queen size bed and the best view you would ever hope to find. On the outside you will find a balcony and a private peer.

Before you arrive at "The Purple Door on the Bay" Please contact me for access information. 443-953-0387.

Please message me all the names & numbers of the people staying at, The Purple Door on the Bay. Finally, I also need to know what make, model, tag number & color of your vehicle that you plan to use while staying at The Purple Door on the Bay. I must report this information to the office of Captain's Cove. If you are interested in using the amenities within The Captain's Cove Golf & Yacht Club they charges $15.00 a day, per person or $75.00 a week per person. I need to inform the Captain's Cove within 05 days to your stay if you plain to use the amenities.

Great for a getaway!

Great place on the water. We caught enough crabs off the dock to have dinner. Relaxing place to take the family and enjoy the seaside. I wish we had more time to enjoy.

Family vacation

We had a great week staying in Captains Cove. The house met all our needs and the amenities at the marina were wonderful. Only wish would be that the house had wifi.

Great place

All of my critiques are first world problems and not worth mentioning. Great place. Great view. Great location. Friendly neighbors. Nicely located about halfway between VA and MD assateague island. If you have a mobile infant/toddler, a pack and play blocks the spiral staircase perfectly. Will be staying again.

Peaceful

This is a very peaceful place to stay. It's quiet, but still close enough to things to do all within an hours drive. Ocean City is about a 40-45 minute drive, Assateague, MD to see the ponies on the beach is about 35-40 minutes. Assateague, VA and Chincoteague are 30-35, Wollops NASA station is 15-20 minutes. It overlooks Chincoteague Bay and the island of Chincoteague. My husband and i would definitely stay there again. Alms is you like seafood, that is one of the best areas for it. Definitely get some blue crab while you're there, so yummy!

Property was slightly run down and had no driveway (just grass). It was in a great neighborhood with a beautiful view. We had to take the trash 15 minutes south when leaving (in the opposite direction of home for us). It was good enough for us to relax and cook but a slight bit expensive for its outdated condition though.

Good Central location !

Stayed at the Purple Door house and took easy day trips to Ocean City, Bethany and Rehoboth beaches, Chincoteague and Wallops Islands and Deal Island, Princess Anne and Pocomoke. Great, safe location!

Room for a family of five to spread out and relax. The views were outstanding but aways away from chincoteague.

Memorial Day Getaway

Great spot, great local amenities and cozy house and neighborhood. Private dock made it fun for fishing and taking in the views. Right price and good service. Highly recommended if exploring the area.

Peaceful in February

We stayed at this property during the off season and it was amazing. The quiet views of the bay and hearing the gulls soothed our souls. We would definately visit again. Great communication with the owner!

We enjoyed our stay at the Purple Door. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the deck. My husband taught my daughter to fish and she loved the dock area. We did use the amenities at Captain’s Cove and drove out to Assateague Island to see the horses. The location is tucked away from major attractions but we got used to the drive after the first day. The neighbors were friendly. Enjoyed our stay !
