Private Beach, Beautiful Lake Home, Fishing, Recreation - Everything You Need!

Beautiful year-round lake home nestled on 2.7 wooded acres in amazing Cross Lake. The spacious interior has that rustic feel you want when you're 'up north'. The kitchen has new appliances, new quartz countertops and a large dining area to fit all your family and friends. It is equipped with many cooking items from pots to baking pans, toaster, coffee makers and more. The laundry room has a large, full-size washer and dryer. The bedrooms include king size beds, full size beds and twin beds. The backyard overlooks the lake and has a large deck with patio furniture.

The property includes a large, hard-to-find, sandy beach area that everyone can relax at and build sandcastles in. With clear water, the beach area is one of the best parts of the outdoors. Also included are a paddleboat, kayaks and a new dock with bench where you can do some fishing. If you bring your own boat, there is a boat launch on the property. There is also a new firepit area with Adirondack chairs for your evening fires.

This cabin resides on Duck Lake, a private lake with no public access - perfect for those that are looking for a little peace and quiet.

If you're looking to kick it up a notch, right across the street is public access to Cross Lake, where you can access the White Fish chain of lakes. Known for its great fishing, recreational activities and wildlife, this area boasts a ton of activities and has great options for places to eat including Zorbaz, The Wharf, Moonlight Bay, Breezy Point and many more.

For those that love golf - Deacon's, Ruttger's Bay Lake, Cuyuna Rolling Hills, Madden's and Golden Eagle are just a few in the area.

For those with four-wheelers / ATV's - you can access the ATV trails right down the road.

For those that want to shop - a short 20 minute drive gets you to the cute shops in Nisswa, or drive another 10 minutes and get everything you need in Brainerd.

Other things to do in the area - Brewery Tours, Mini Golf, Paul Bunyan Land, Northland Kart Kountry, Brainerd Zip Line Tour, Safari North Wildlife Park... just to name a few!

And in the winter, those into snowmobiling - the state snowmobile trail goes through our lake, approximately 200 yards off the beach!

We stayed here with grandma and grandpa and our family of 4. Loved that the one bedroom on the main level was a little separated from the upper rooms so grandma and grandpa could have their own private space away from our noisy kids!Everything we needed was provided at the house, and appreciated being able to use the water toys as well as having access to a whole bin of beach toys! Fishing was great- caught pike every day. Short drive in to town and great location. Would absolutely recommend to others!

This was the perfect location for our family getaway. Our kids loved all of the swimming, fishing, and water shenanigans they were able to take part in during out 3-night stay. If you like peace and privacy, this is a great place to stay.

We were very pleased with the property. We particularly loved the fire pit area, the wood supply and the beach. We enjoyed the paddle boat and the kayaks. Very private on a beautiful lake. The house was comfortable for all of us and well stocked with anything we needed.

Quiet lake stay

It’s so unusual to have a quiet stay on a lake. We loved that. The house was perfect for our group. It was well stacked with necessities and kitchen supplies. The yard was well kept. The kids played on the beach every day. The only downside was that we could not put our jet skis in due to the number of weeds. There was a small swimming area that was weed free but the lake at that end is weedy. We did use the landing across the street to put in the jet skis. It is very close and easily accessible. We used the kayaks, canoe and numerous beach toys.

This property was just as beautiful as the photos. The cabin was spacious and welcoming. It was our first vacation with our grandkids and it was everything we were hoping for. The kids loved the private sandy beach, all the outdoor toys, large campfire space, and the paddle boat & kayaks.

We had an amazing time!! We loved having the private beach and our kids thought it was great!! We took full advantage of the paddle boat, canoe, and kayaks! The cabin itself was spacious and lovely. The kitchen was well-stocked, we loved having a huge dining room table, and the living room couch was sooooooooo comfortable. We loved drinking our coffee and looking out on the lake every morning. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience and would love to come back!!

Family vacation

It was a great place to stay. Kids enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak's the beach was a hit with our group. Spent the nights by the fire pit even got to see a black bear checking out the place!!

Wonderful property

We loved this home. The open hang out area and the beach were the highlights. We were two families both with children and had a wonderful time. The home is well equipped with kitchen stuff and lots of room for pantry items. The second fridge was nice for drinks etc. beds were comfortable. Overall we have stayed at several VRBO and this was one of our favorites. We have already booked for next year!

Duck Lake was great!

We enjoyed our weeklong stay at Duck Lake. We were a family of four with grandparents and we had plenty of room and things to do. The house was spacious and clean and very accommodating. We had an issue with the WiFi but the owners were super responsive. Highly recommend this place that’s near Crosslake but not in the crazy mix of giant lake houses. Duck lake was smaller and peaceful, even for 4th of July weekend.

Duck lake

The response from the owners was impeccable. The cabin had pretty much everything one would need: beach toys, beach towels, kayaks, and a kitchen with incredible amounts of storage and just about every item you'd need. The kids had a blast on the sandy beach with all the beach toys. Thank you!

Perfect lake get away

This house was a perfect location for our family vacation. It was spacious for all of us to spread out. And the house was so thoughtfully set up for guests. We truly felt like we were guests in the owner's home. Lots of kitchen supplies, storage containers for leftovers, spices. They even had bug spray, fly swatters, and a cooler if we needed to use it. The lake was so serene and the beach was relaxing. If a family has little kids there would be no fighting over beach toys-they have tons! Would go there again in a heartbeat.

What a lovely home and property! Perfect spot for young kids to play at the sandy beach and in the shallow water. Great layout with big family gathering areas. Very quiet and private lake close downtown Crosslake. Highly recommend!

Another Great Summer Get-Away at Duck Lake

For the 2nd year in a row, we traveled to Duck Lake for our summer vacation. And just like last year, great all the way around. 1. AJ and Amanda (owners) are awesome. They communicate and they care about your trip! 2. Pictures are a perfect representation of the property. Plenty of space for families and kids. Clean and well stocked for cooking, family night movies/games, etc. 3. Location is awesome. You have your own beach area, part of the lake, firepit, deck overlooking the lake, grill, and yard area to play. Plenty of toys for kids and adults, both in and out of the water. Plus, you are literally 10 minutes to the grocery store, hardware store, gas, boat rental on the Whitefish Chain, golf, shopping, etc. We will certainly be back!

Peaceful Paradise

Duck Lake is shallow but clear, perfect for kayaking and little kids. Great beach! Nearby Cross Lake and all of the other connected Lakes are awesome. So much fun! Thank you!

Wonderful!

We had a great time with three families at the cabin! The beach is great and the kids played in it everyday. Property was well taken care of and very clean. Location is quiet but also quick to get to activities - perfect Northern MN location. Would stay here again!

Overall okay experience

The location of the property was very nice. The property itself is in need of maintenance. Trees are dead and hanging over the house, garden rubber barriers are torn up all over and complete trip hazards. The property manager complained about us and cleanliness which we did everything to leave the house nicer than when we arrived. I should have taken pictures when we arrived but anyway I paid an extra fee and am not upset but will not return.

The land is spacious, private, including a private lake, and across the road is Cross Lake and the large White Chain of Lakes - so many options! It has acreage and yet is just a few minutes from fun activities, local establishments, fishing, golfing, shopping and a half hour from Brainerd. It is situated in the perfect spot for anyone and everyone!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The large beach is something that we searched a long time for. Not only do we have a large beach, it is private and in our own bay - which is a big differentiator. We have rented places for years with our family and find it hard to get a great place with a great beach, which is why it was so important that we had that so that families and friends had a nice area to hang out at. Plus, it is a fantastic place to play in the sand!
