Are you looking for family and friend getaways where everybody can enjoy their own activities? Our waterfront property offers 2 themed bedrooms downstairs with a loft upstairs to suit everyone’s needs. From birdwatching, kayaking, fishing from our own dock, or grilling your favorite bbq meats in our backyard while watching the kids having a blast in the playground. Or soaking in the bubly warm hor tub at the end of the day? Bring yourself, your better self, some good old friends, or ask your parents to join your little family to make unforgettable memories here at Chirping River.

There are many places to discover along the trip, such as Sam Houston statue and museum, Texas Prison Museum, Lake Livingston State Park, Froggy Wines, Rusty Gate Brewery, Huntsville Town Square, golf course, marina, boat ramps and more.

Bonus- supermarkets, gas stations, convenience store and major fast food restaurants are 10’- 30’ away.

Great property. Only issue was getting front door to unlock. We called Andrew but finally got it to work before he came. He said the lock probably needed a new battery. Other than that all was great.

We loved it, everyone we really enjoyed our time at this house. Very peaceful atmosphere with a beautiful view to the lake, we recommend this place to stay and have a beautiful getaway with the family. Very clean, kids friendly place. Love it and would stay again.

Amazing experience, the views , the place and the accommodation is just outstanding , if you are traveling with dogs , this is the place , Donna was really nice and easy to talk and coordinate everything, outdoors is great but the house it’s also great , beautiful kitchen !!

Trinity River x Lake Livingston Escape

If you are a family and looking for quality time then this is the spot. I usually don’t book unless there are five star reviews but there is always the time to be the first! The owner Donna made great conversation pre-trip and so I knew I booked a great property. The location is perfect, Spirfire Donuts for the family each morning, cooked out at night for the family, Agavales Mexican another night, kids down in comfy beds and then hot tub under the stars. There is something about watching the river flow that is so peaceful and your suddenly able to just breathe for a bit. There is a sandpit and a jungle gym for the kids and I did call to get the perimeter sprayed for ants, and property managers were prompt and ants were gone. Only other thing I noticed was master bathroom shower door was difficult to operate, ( but not worth taking away a star), because I’m not there to shower, I’m there to enjoy the lake/river in all its glory. We will be back but might have to buy a place of our own in this location I think is heaven on earth.

We are one family that love staying in vacation rental home during our getaway trips. It’s hard sometimes to find a property that offers everything to satisfy everyone. Fortunately we found one here at Chirping River Cottage. It was love at first sight for us. Now with all the upgrades, we think it’s time we share this germ with our guests.

We are only 1.5h away from Houston and 30’ from Huntsville. There are so many places for you to visit around here, Sam Houston Statue, Texas Prison Museum, Froggy Wines, Lake Livingston State Park, marina and boat ramps, local supermarkets, restaurants and donut shops including Dairy Queens and Mc Donald!

The most beautiful thing about Trinity is not just the river, the lake, the breathtaking views and abundance of wildlife but the southern hospitality you rarely see in big cities. People here are very kind, friendly and honest.
