Have fun with the whole family at this stylish place. Nestled in a quaint setting, minutes away from good eats and local bars is this 2 bedroom 1.5 bath home. The primary bedroom offers gorgeous views and a king bed, and the second bedroom has a queen bed. The couch also converts into a bed for 2! There is a large patio, great for dining on warm summer evenings and between the house and the beach, plenty of grass space for activities! An ideal location for bonfires and sunsets.
I honestly cannot say enough about this property! It is exactly as it is in the pictures! The view of the lake is like nothing I have ever seen before, just gorgeous! We felt right at home the minute we opened the door! Heidi was awesome with everything we needed even while she was on vacation! Her assistant Hannah was wonderful as well!! A million stars!! We cannot wait to book again!!
We were having a family reunion and didnât have enough room in our home to accommodate everyone. This property was a mile walk from our house. It was also on the water which was wonderful.
Saying it sleeps six is a bit of a stretch. The two bedrooms upstairs and bathroom were beautiful. The third ââbedroomâ was a pull out couch in the middle of the living room. This didnât work out and we put a blowup mattress in one of the large bedrooms.
The hot tub was wonderful. The neighbors were lovely. The water was great, although according to neighbors, That can vary. I would stay here again. Thank you.
The lake house was well stocked with towels, wash clothes, beach towels, pillows, there is a full size washer and dryer which was nice, the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook; cookie sheets, measuring cups and spoons, can opener, a one cup keurig, pots and pants, Tupperware , a pitcher, an ice keeper etc! Some extra blankets for the couch bed and throw blankets really are needed.
The couch provided a space for two extra people to sleep, but itâs not very comfortable. A mattress topper would help.
The beach was private and only shared amongst the other people that lived on the road, which we were almost always on the beach alone! There is a public beach about seven minutes from the house as well as fishing off the peer! The hot tub was well loved by everybody!
If you have kids we strongly suggest spending the day at the Strong museum. Eating a meal at Parkside diner and visiting Wegmans are a must!
Overall we enjoyed our stay, however I feel we should point out a few things. After some issues first trying to book (which may have been the app), check-in was super easy, once we located the house. Difficult to find, and GPS does not take you to this house. Inside the house was clean, except dog hair around the couch and on the couch. The jacuzzi tub worked fine as a tub for the kids, but unfortunately the jacuzzi part was not functioning. I wrote the owner the first day but received no response back. A few of the stairs going to the second floor are spongey and should be replaced (I slipped down half the stairs from this). The back patio needs some maintenance as the concrete is cracked and stairs need fixing outside. There is a small grill, but only 2 burners work so cooking is slow. We used the hot tub with the kids, but after the third time in, my wife and I were not convinced there was any chemicals in hot tub. Bunch of sand in it from previous renters that we tried to clean but were not able to. If you have young kids, consider bringing a baby gate for the top stairs as they are steep inside. Again, we enjoyed our stay and would consider the house again next year for our yearly visit to Rochester.
This beach house was meticulously maintained and was the perfect, comfortable house for our family. It was adorable and so peaceful! The best part was how well stocked the house was! The owner thought of everything and it made us feel so comfortable and really added to our experience. The owner was also very accommodating and easy to work with when we had a little date fiasco. Look no further than this property!
