Relaxing Beekeeper's Cottage with hot tub

Take a breath of fresh air in this small, unique retreat that David has created. Located down a long gravel road . You will feel youve entered a paradise miles away yet so close to all local attractions . You will be surrounded by nature and wildlife abounds ! The property is nestled between the Bodega Dunes Campgrounds on one side and the monarch butterfly preserve and protected riparian corridor on the other. As you enter the property you will see David’s part time residence on the left and his bees up the hill to the right. The second cottage surrounded by the lovely garden on the left is where you will be staying . The cottage is freshly renovated with a new well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom and with everything that you might need for your short stay. The guest room has a full bed for two people . The master bedroom features a Queen bed and cabinets with plenty of storage space . Cozy up by the propane fireplace in the living room where you can enjoy your favorite show on the smart TV, watch one of the films provider for the DVD player or just hunker down and read that book youv’e been wanting to read. The dining area has plenty of space to play some board games or have a great meal with your friends or family . Central heating is also available. The bathroom is completely renovated and modern. For your convenience there is a desk for those needing a peaceful environment to get work done . Hang outside on the back deck and enjoy the view as wildlife put on its show. You’ll see and hear a lot of birds, deer, foxes , quails and more ! A propane BBQ is available for cooking out doors . Newly built outside is an outdoor fire pit with 4 seats and two outdoor showers! The shower on the deck has hot and cold water, and the second shower next to the hot tub by the big old trees is to rinse before your dip in the hot tub !That one is cold water only. This is a magical place !Come enjoy your quiet retreat with us. ***NEED MORE SPACE ? PLEASE INQUIRE ABOUT THE CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS located right next door. Adorable and secluded spot with everything you need. Our stay was wonderful and we had a fantastic time in the area. The house was in a perfect location to everything we did in bodega bay and had more than enough amenities for our anniversary stay. Absolutely recommend staying here over ANY other place in town.

We had a fantastic time at this great location. It is practically in the woods: quiet and beautiful, yet the bay is easily reachable. Trails are nearby; one can walk through the woods or field to either bay or open ocean shore. Both the manager and the owner are super responsive and accommodating.the most fantastic time in Sonoma county!

Great little getaway in Bodega Bay

This is the second time we've stayed at the BeeKeeper's Hut. Great little place to stay. So calm and quiet. Very nice amenities. Couldn't recommend it enough!

This was our second visit and we highly recommend it. Very well maintained and charming and comfortable cottage. Watching the evening activity of animals and birds a highlight. The grill to cook seafood from The Tides fish counter is a highlight for us as city dwellers! Reading books, listening to music, watching films, sipping wine, a relaxing place to hideout.

Quiet hideaway bliss

Stocked with everything you could think of for a few days of utter peace and quiet, the Beekeepers Cottage was super cosy and spotlessly clean, brilliantly located for great hikes in the area, and was perfect for our needs when the wild weather set in - cosy movie nights by the fire are just as grand as sunset hot-tub sessions! David and Juli were also fantastic at communication and made our stay so easy and pleasant. Would certainly recommend!

Amazing, quiet, getaway in Bodega

A beautiful little 'beekeepers' cottage in Bodega. Was very impressed with the quality of everything. The owners have really gone out of their way to make it special. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Bodega!

Lovely and peaceful cottage in the heart of Bodega Bay

This cottage is in a perfect location to explore Bodega Bay and surrounding area. The cottage itself is comfortable, quiet, private and peaceful with a well-maintained interior and surrounded by trees and a lovely garden. We enjoyed the hot tub and indoor gas fireplace. The hosts were very responsive and we look forward to returning!

Ideal Get-A-Way Place

This cottage is a great place for getting away. It is private and very comfortable and beautifully maintained. And while it is a perfect place to read, soak and relax, it is also very well located as a base for exploring Bodega Bay and surrounds. If you are fortunate enough to meet David, your host, you will be in for a treat! We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Bodega bay cozy peaceful cottage

We came to bodega bay from the grass valley area to feel the cooler temps and relax for my birthday. The cottage was true to the listing, clean, cozy, safe, and comfortable. I would recommend staying here over n over. Grateful as!

Magical Getaway

This property provided all we needed for a cozy little girls staycation. As Sonoma County Natives, we didn’t need much except a cozy place with a place to relax. This provided just that! I fell in love with the cute, quaint house and the comfortability jt gave from just our two night stay. The added amenities of the hot tub, out door shower, and a bottle of wine upon arrival was above and beyond. Our stay here could have not been better or easier. Thank you David for the beautiful property and Juli for amazing, and consistent communication. This definitely won’t be my last stay here

Zen

The property was relaxing. David was very responsive, as was his property manager Juli, and interesting to talk to (and Abby). My friend and I had a great time doing jigsaw puzzles, reading, and just relaxing. The car overheated on the way home though. We just had to stop at the Wild Flour Bakery again and steam came out of the hood. Since we had driven a lot the day before, with no issue, something ate holes in the coolant hoses Sunday afternoon or evening while parked at the rental. It will be at the repair shop for until next week. No fault of the host, just nature. It is a great place to stay. Some advice: invest in rodent repellent for your car.

Tranquility in the woods

The Beekeeper's Cottage is such a comfortable and relaxing place to get away. A big thank you to David & Juli for all the amenities, great communication, and care given to the property. My partner & I were struck by how quiet and peaceful it was even though we were a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Bodega Bay (especially on a holiday weekend!). We especially enjoyed waking up with the local turkey vulture family, who like us would come out into the sun to warm up before heading out for the day. Although our teen didn't join us on this trip, the cottage would have easily accommodated us all with plenty of room for meals, playing games, lounging around with our books, and even making a little music. Outside offers plenty of spots for sketching or taking in the trees and bird activity. This is truly a special spot that conveyed to us a strong feeling of love for the land and enjoyment of company. We hope to return again and see it in a different season!

Bodega Bay Retreat

This property is quiet and secluded at the end of a country road, watched the hawks float on air currents above and the monarchs in the country garden. Very clean, and all the amenities working, plenty of beach towels and fully-stocked kitchen with efficient appliances. What we enjoyed most of all was breakfast on the sunny east-facing porch, and the hot tub, which afforded a breath-taking view of clouds and moon for the Mid-Autumn Festival! Plus the peahen and her family traipsing about the property.

Perfect in Every Way

The property which is at the end of the road is extremely privately and quaint. The whimsical outdoor decorations were a nice touch. We enjoyed a good amount of time on the side deck just enjoying nature. You can hear the seals from the ocean at night. Just about everything that was advertised about the property was better than expected. The bathroom and oversized shower looked brand new and immaculate. We give a 5 star rating for the cleanliness of the entire place. The farmhouse kitchen had all amenities. There was even a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us in the refrigerator! The master bedroom was spacious with plenty of windows to open and enjoy the smell of the Eucalyptus trees. The manager, Juli, answers texts within minutes. Also, the binder that she created for nearby restaurants, shops and trails was SO helpful. There is no reason that we would look around for other accommodations when traveling to Bodega Bay again. The Bee Keeper's Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. Very comfortable and relaxing time. Thank You!

I work with a variety of passionate dedicated researchers throughout Sonoma County and the bay area helping to protect & better understand the ocean, local bays, estuaries and connecting land systems.
In my spare time I love to surf, scuba dive & swim. I also love to backpack, mountaineer and explore new places. I love sharing my knowledge of land stewardship, gardening and beekeeping with friends and family. I also enjoy meeting new people and sharing good food, company and stories.

The cottage is very peaceful, private, cozy and relaxing. It’s a great place to unwind with family and friends and escape the bustling city life. One can enjoy sitting out on the back deck reading, quietly sipping a cup of tea or glass of wine and entertain. One can also relax around the outdoor gas fire place and gaze up at the stars at night.

After a day at the beach, hiking coastal trails or exploring Bodega Bay and West County one can rinse off under the outdoor showers then hop in relax in the hot tub. One can fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean on nearby Salmon Creek Beach and the swaying of the mature coastal cypress trees in the wind.

This coastal cottage is a quiet, private peaceful retreat, a unique natural sanctuary tucked between Salmon Creek Beach and Bodega Bay. Bordered by a butterfly preserve, State Parks Dunes campground and a riparian corridor the cottage is surrounded by wildlife and nature. Osprey and Owls can often be seen perched high above in the cypress trees, deer, quail, foxes roaming below and hummingbird’s bees and monarch butterflies actively foraging on the flowering mature plants and fruit trees.

Overall a wonderful place to relax and entertain.
