Weekend Away

Overall, enjoyed the stay! View is amazing. Kitchen and supplies were excellent. Bedrooms / Baths were comfortable / watching the deer was a highlight.

Amazing views

If you are looking for a quiet getaway with plenty of room to spread out this home is for you . Beautiful mid century modern architecture and stunning views.

Mid Mod Art House

Great accommodations. Comfy beds, chef’s kitchen, spacious! AC was very nice to have as temps were in the 90s. The art work was definitely a conversation starter!

Fishing Trip

Great property. We are a group of architects and appreciated staying in a house designed by someone we studied in school. Suggest changing doors from the living room back to original style doors.

Wedding Weekend

We were in town for a family wedding and had our extended family over for a dinner and a brunch. There was plenty of room to spread out and catch up. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed. The pictures of the house reflect the 50’s decor accurately with some modern updates. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Cracked picture window and dark entry stairs with no rail were unsafe.

Told on arrival checkin would be 2 hours late. Entry stairs are crumbling stone and uneven height with no handrail and no lights at night. My wife injured hamstring climbing down at night. Old picture window had severe cracks, feared kids would push it and get hurt or worse. Beautiful kitchen and views, and prompt communication.

There is an exterior light at the front steps, as well as solar-powered night lights along the historic flagstone pathway. None of it is crumbling. Uneven height is part and parcel of mid-century modern design. Same with no handrail-- it's a historic house. Guest arrived 3 hours early, and despite my asking him to check-in at 3pm (our usual check-in time), Guest came by unannounced at 1pm, surprising our housekeeper. The picture window does have a crack, and is being replaced. We have hosted dozens and dozens of people at our house, and no reports of injury.

Beautiful Location, but

The views there were million dollar. Very roomy house full of what VRBO calls "Retro". Couches were very old, like 60ish and not comfortable to sit it. Huge kitchen very well equipped but cabinets will stress your back to open No handles. Had to bend over to open especiallly the bottom drawer. The trash receptacle had a string attached to it to pull to make access easier! Master bed in basement had mattress on the floor. No blinds or curtains. Looks like its still under "retro" fitting. Owner had a collection of very weird stuff. I call it garage sale clutter. Looked inside one book on coffee table that I thought was inappropriate, even me for! I would not stay there again.

Thanks much for you review. We may add a handle to the drawer that gave you an issue. As for "garage sale clutter," many other guests have no problem recognizing a highly curated, valuable collection of mid-century modern art, decor, and furniture. The art books are only inappropriate for minds not fully ready for, well, art. No worries on not staying here again, as we will not be renting to you another time. Thanks again for your stay.

Very clean home built for entertaining with wonderful Missoula views!

We had 3 adult couples stay in the property and it accommodated our needs perfectly. Each couple had their own room and bath with comfortable beds and linens. The kitchen is large and lends itself well to entertaining, as does the open living and dining rooms with large sliding patio door to the deck and city views. Large windows being the outside in for wildlife watching including more deer than you can count! There is also a back patio that used to be the pool (now filled in) that is a great area for outdoor barbequing and relaxing. The owners were responsive and accommodating.
