The Maple House: Quiet Updated Home, Minutes to Premier Golf, Skiing, and Trails

The "Maple House" is just minutes from Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob. Only 4 miles to downtown Harbor Springs and 10 miles to downtown Petoskey. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails nearby.
Come in the Fall to see the colorful trees or come in the Winter to ski or just cozy up and watch the snowfall. In the Summer enjoy the beach at Petoskey State Park, six miles from the house. Enjoy the lovely downtown area shops and restaurants in both Harbor Springs and Petoskey.
The ranch house was recently updated and has a spacious great room attached to the kitchen. Kitchen has all the appliances you will need to cook a nice meal and the dining table seats 8-10 comfortably. Extra family room with pull-out sofa and gas fireplace sits at the other end of the home. Televisions in both family rooms for streaming.
Master bedroom has attached bathroom with double sinks and tub/shower combination. The other two bedrooms share a bath with shower.
Hot tub is on the deck with seating for 8. There is a fire pit to enjoy in the large wooded yard or just relax on the deck.

The Maple House was a winter wonderland and we all really enjoyed our stay. Everyone felt right at home and Mary went above and beyond with amenities. Each room had water bottles placed by the bed, with toiletries and very plush bedding. We had everything we needed for 8 people, 4 children and 4 adults.Located 5 minutes from the Highlands and 8 minutes to Nubs for a day of skiing. Highly recommend booking this house, worth every penny!

Cool location in the woods but only 10 minutes to Harbor Springs. The house had everything a family or small group needs. Outdoor area nice with hot tub. Bedrooms are clean and good sizes. The two baths are perfectly fine. The kitchen and living area is spacious and has all the practical things to live and cook.

Helpful communication

One of the reasons we really love staying at Mary’s Rental in Harbor Springs is the ease at which we can communicate with her for anything that comes up. She is always helpful to give guidance or respond to questions. We absolutely love all the little touches that she brings to the Rental and it makes it very welcoming!

Annual ski trip up north

Beautiful property secluded in the woods yet close to the action. Owner is prompt to respond and has thought of every detail in her home. In 10 years of visiting Harbor Springs, this was the first time we ever re-booked the same rental. Thank you for having us Mary.

Perfect golf getaway

My buddies and I had a great time at this property. It is in a great location and updated very well. The property manager had very quick responses and even provided every bed with some toiletries. The hot tub was a great amenity we took full advantage of. All in all, everyone slept great and it was the perfect house for an up north golf trip.

Clean, accomodating, and lots of nice touches! Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, and the hot tub was so relaxing. Lots of indoor and outdoor family games like cornhole, footballs, frisbee. Lots of room! Totally recommend!

Very Nice Home with a Good Location

We enjoyed staying in The Maple House. We were two families with 5 children and had plenty of room. The family room/kitchen and dining room were a great place to gather. The kitchen is well stocked with nice dishes, cookware and appliances. The house was clean and true to the description. The yard is large and private with a great firepit. Mary was easy to work with and helpful.

Special Touches, Cute and Cozy!

We had a great time here. We had 7 adults and came up mid-February to go skiing at Nub's Nob. The house was located close to both Highlands and Nub's and it was easy to get to and from the hill. There was a nice big circle drive so plenty of parking and easy in and out. The house itself was great, everything was clean and the style was modern. There were 3 bedrooms, and 2 full baths, a main living/dining/kitchen area and a little bonus living room off the garage entrance that would be perfect for older kids/teens to hang if they wanted to get away from the adults. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of blankets to stay cozy which was nice. We brought food and cooked multiple meals there, the kitchen was very nicely stocked with pans, kitchen tools, baking dishes. There was a coffee maker and hot chocolate. Wish there were hot tub instructions because we struggled but that could've been user error, thankfully Mary was very responsive and we were able to get it working! The thing I really loved about this place were all the small personal touches! There was a bottle of wine provided for us to enjoy, water bottles placed out next to the beds, disposal toothbrushes if you forgot yours. Each bed had a little basket with a set of soaps/shampoos/towels. The closets had bathrobes hanging which were perfect for throwing on before the hot tub! There were plenty of beach towels too in a basket by the door outside. Overall we all loved the house! Highly recommend!

Wonderful cabin for a ski vacation!

A group of 6 close friends and myself stayed here for a long weekend to ski at The Highlands. Everything was in immaculate condition upon arrival. Getting into the home was seamless and the property manager was quick to respond to all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing stay.

15 years of traveling to Harbor Springs and this place was by far one of the cleanest and prettiest places we have ever stayed. Plenty of space for everyone and every little detail thought of before our arrival. Can’t wait to visit again.

Awesome property

We had a great stay at this property. We stayed here for a golf weekend and were impressed with all of the extra amenities that were provided to us from plenty of towels to individual shampoos, body wash, etc. The house was extremely clean and comfortable for 8 adults. Mary also was extremely responsive to any questions before our stay. I would definitely recommend this property and will book again if in the area.

Amazing 4 day weekend

This home is one of the best equipped that we have rented for vacation. It is well stocked with everything you may need for the kitchen as well as a very nice gas grill. The branded Maple house glasses, soap box and bathroom supplies put it over the top. Outside seating is very comfortable as were all the sleeping arrangements including the pull out sofa. The owners were very quick to communicate though there were no issues, they were merely checking in and ensuring we had what we needed. The home was ready well before check-in which was nice, though we hadn't made it to the area yet, if we had been, we for sure would have been settled in early. Excellent property and we highly recommend.

Winter Holiday

Highly recommend this property. From the entry point to the large family gathering area, this home was beautiful. The kitchen was perfectly stocked (may need to upgrade the microwave;). The beds are so comfortable it was difficult to get out in the morning. The sunsets through the spruce trees were just spectacular. We loved being able to enjoy the hot tub at our leisure. All of the other treats were just lovely as well. The chocolates, the spa kits, the robes at every turn were all perfect little surprises. No more than 10 minutes to anywhere in Harbor Springs, yet we're able to enjoy the quiet afternoons and evening after skiing was done. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Weekend Ski Trip

This property is absolutely wonderful and provided the perfect getaway location for a ski weekend with family and friends. The home is beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and bedding that made our stay so very comfortable. Cozy throws, luxury towels, warm robes, and even slippers by the back door-- this house has everything you need to feel right at home. The kitchen is equipped with high quality items as well that made cooking and dining with our crew a joy. The generously sized hot tub was a welcome activity after a long day on the slopes and easily fit eight people. Layout of the house is also really nice for a large group. The space accommodated our group of 10 with ease--the bunk room is perfect for teens/kids, and the couple who slept on the sofa bed said it was the most comfortable one they had ever used, as it has an inflatable top. Location can't be beat--just minutes from Boyne Highlands and Nubs, so you can come back for lunch if you wish. The owners have thought of everything! Mary was so attentive and responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely return in the future.

Perfect house for a ski trip!

The house was spacious and beautiful and had everything you could need. From towels by the hot tub, robes in the closet, and a stocked kitchen, I don’t think it gets better than this! There was plenty of space for our group to sleep comfortably and with two living rooms and fire places it was incredibly cozy. Would highly recommend if you are heading up for a weekend getaway this winter!
