Wonderful little cabin

Please is very well stocked and had plenty of space for our family of 6 adults and two children.owner was very prompt when we had an issue with an air conditioner and and had it up and running again quickly!

Summer Family Get Together

Except for Mother Nature it was a great stay. Nice sandy beach for the kids to play on and nice dock to throw a fishing line in or just sit and watch the lake.

Clean, well decorated home with a great view of the lake. Property had all of the comforts of home. We loved the tranquility of the lake. We would definitely come back.

Perfect 50th Birthday

The property has EVERYTHING you could ever want and more. It’s cozy, updated and super clean! Communication with the owner was prompt and kind. If we ever visit the area again I hope this property is available.

Lake Life

This house, and location, were perfect for our holiday get-away with our son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren. It was well stocked with anything and everything you could think of. We thoroughly enjoyed our lake time and would definitely rent here again!

Fall Getaway

This was the perfect cozy cabin for a girls trip with my sisters and cousins. Slept 7 adults comfortably! Everything we needed was there. Close to the lake with a nice beach area. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

cabin rental

cabin was great, just what we needed for the weekend of fishing with my son in law's. the wheather was not the greatest and the fish were not bitting but we still had a great time. would rent the cabin again some time. thanks for renting it to us. bob p.

Felt like Home

This beach home is cozy and spacious ! Located right on the lake in a small lake front community, you have full access to water activities, relaxing on the beach, paddle boarding/kayaking, sitting on the dock, watching the ducks, pelicans and sea gulls - endless possibilities! The host has the home stocked with EVERYTHING you could need - beach towels, indoor games, toiletries, an abundance of kitchenware and basic cooking supplies, binoculars, extra space heaters.... Lisa, our host, was so responsive to every need we had during our stay. There are cute little bar/grills within a quick drive, grocery stores too ! I highly recommend this property - a great find !

Absolutely AMAZING stay!!

We had such an amazing time during our stay! The house was so nice, clean and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities of home (even Wi-Fi and Directv). It was absolutely perfect!! Anything we needed was there. Lisa was such a wonderful and generous host. She was so easy to communicate with and was available for anything we needed. She even surprised us with a 4th of July gift basket! There was a storm that was predicted to roll through one day, and she made sure to stop by to make sure there wasn't anything we needed, and even gave us an extra space to store our numerous lake floaties so that we didn't have to deflate them in preparation for storm. (Side note: There is a storm shelter under the house. We didn't ever need to use it, but it was a great comfort to know it was there.) The location was absolutely perfect. There is a nice grassy area right off the deck (that we used for playing yard games and sitting around the fire pit) and then at the edge of the grass there are a set of stairs that lead you down to access the beach and lake. (The stairs are very sturdy with a nice handrail on each side.) They also have a dock as well. We rented a pontoon for a day and loved having the option of docking it right at the house. We had such a wonderful trip and made some great memories. We are very thankful to have found this "gem" on beautiful Lake Poinsett. We can't wait to come back and stay again soon!

Wonderful home by the lake

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. The home is fabulous. The owner has thought of almost everything. The beds were comfortable. Great place to stay in South Dakota near Brookings. :)

Property was great! Kitchen was well stocked could have made some great meals.

It was just as the pictures showed! Beautiful place at the the lake! I’m already talking about REPEAT at the same place, Loved it! Next time bring my fishing poles. Great place to relax!

Fun place!

My high school girlfriends and I get together at a lake every summer and we LOVED staying at Lisa’s place. Great set up and layout of house. Everyone loved the beds because they were so comfortable. She has basically everything you need (great towels and bedding!, plus fully stocked kitchen, games!) I would recommend getting a cordless stick vacuum for the floors as they can get pretty sandy with the beach, and it would be nice to be able to get that cleaned up quickly so it doesn’t end up all over the house. We would definitely stay at Lisa’s again. We also had great neighbors!

Great time with family

We were blown away with how neat and the cabin was and the amazing yard, beach, and dock were also very nice!! The cabin felt like home and made the weekend a really comfortable one! We hope to get back there year after year!!

Great Experience

We had an absolutely great time! The rental itself was really well laid out with everthing well stocked and really nicely decorated. Has a very home like feel. There is a yard for games with the kids (games provided with the rental) along with a sandy beach which the kids thoroughly enjoyed with their floaties. There was no reason to seek out any other entertainment. Our hostess was fantastic and would highly recommend staying here. I'm sure we will go there again.
