Privacy fence, security cameras, private parking in the rear, several restaurants within walking distance (Whitey's Ice Cream, Hungry Hobo, Jimmy Johns, Subway, Happy Joes, Taco Bell, 711, Fuji Cafe, just to mention a few. Very clean, pristine unit with full kitchen. Within Walking distance of Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, Putnam Museum and Fejervary Park.

Overpriced Loud 1 Bedroom Apartment
The location of this place is terrible. It is insanely noisy all day and all night long. Sirens are constant as well as motors that are so loud they literally shook the house. This noise never lets up. It was advertised to us as a two bedroom but the other “bedroom” has no door and is facing the really loud street. There wasn’t any place to put our things because the place is COVERED in Knick knacks. Every surface has them. No dishwasher. The floor is incredibly uneven. The stairs leading up to the apartment are very tight and hard to get up/down. There was also no toaster, oven mits or dresser. We had to buy our own which we left behind for the next person to use. The water is SO insanely hot that you cannot shower with it no matter what we tried until all of the hot water almost runs out. This is not the safest neighborhood— we were told to be careful of the people coming through the alley. The host was difficult to get ahold of and also caused major issues with payment, causing us to overpay him by thousands and then having to wait a week until we were refunded by VRBO. Leaving us without any spending money for that time. I woke up with tiny little red itchy bug bites multiple times which was communicated to the host who just denied everything and had a can of raid left downstairs for us to solve the problem. The pipes froze one night leaving us without a working shower and then the water stopped working for a day leaving us with no running water for a time.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Lack of housing options in the area forced us to live here.

This review is extremely unfair and completely unwarranted. I'll address each issue, but the tenant did not demonstrate honesty and integrity throughout this experience and was rude in every exchange. She left a month early because her employer abruptly fired her, (imagine that) and I was not disappointed with her early departure. First off, the property clearly says no pets, yet on move in day, she sprung on us that she has a emotional support dog, which I regretfully agreed to allow to stay provided they walk they dog outside of the yard, they agreed and instead used the yard to relieve the dog, which also left dog hair all over the apt resulting in me paying additional cleaning fee's to the cleaning company. Additionally, the dog tore the dryer vent, which they did not disclose nor address, after they checked out we were able to fix this very easily and I can only think that maybe the carbon monoxide they were pumping into the apartment can explain her irrationalness. Yes, there's traffic, this is a big city and Marquette street is a major thoroughfare, not much I can do about traffic noise. They did have an extremely cold night where the drain froze, I advised them to run hot water and within a couple hours it was resolved. I returned every call within 1-2 hours, however when i got the message, it showed she called 8-10 times within a 2 minute timeframe and then left a rude message insisting I return the call immediately, which I did. Her expectation is not that you call her back in a reasonable time, but that you take her call the moment she calls and then push a magic button that fixes everything. If you have unrealistic expectations you are bound to be disappointed. Yes, I did mess up her billing but only because she couldn't afford to pay her full rent and needed to pay in installments, which I've never done before. Had she paid her rent in full like everyone else does, this issue would not have came up and yes vrbo is slow to refund, but I made it up to her by reducing the monthly rent which she kept trying to talk me into being paid under the table.. I told her no, all pmts must be made thru vrbo and I gave her a discount to pacify her concern with paying state taxes and vrbo fees. Again, no integrity. She did tell me she had a couple bug bites, which I cannot explain and her unemployed boyfriend didn't get an bites, so it could be the hospital she worked in where she got bit. These were the first tenants in this unit EVER (previously had long term tenant), and we put brand new mattress, brand new bedding, the house has no carpet and was fumigated a month before we listed it for rent. How she got bit is unknown to me, but we left her a can of bedbug medicine to help and she didn't mention it again, so I assumed it was resolved.
If you check all my reviews, you'll notice they commonly commend me for timely responses, this tenant's unreasonableness made any effort impossible. We take any renters concerns seriously and address them as quickly as possible, but there are some tenants you can never please and this is one of them. My advice would be to avoid this tenant or do so at your own risk.

Pleasantly Surprised!
Excellent communication from property manager before and during stay. I traveled to Davenport to see my #15 Grandchild. So fun. My son and his wife lived 2 miles from this property. Perfect location for me. I would definately stay here again for my next visit. I felt safe and secure in this property I was traveling alone without my husband so was a little concerned but all good. Thank you for great experience.

Cozy Stay
The spaces were clean and accommodating for myself and my family for the extended person of our stay. Our hosts were very great with communication and response times. We had no major issues and the small issues we encountered were addressed and corrected very promptly.
I would definitely stay here again.
