Fantastic location in the heart of Honfleur, dog-friendly! Tips for future guestsHonfleur is a fantastic little city to visit, and this house is perfectly placed for exploring it. It's very central, so everything is within easy reach: a walk to the beach for a swim (just watch the tide times), a short stroll to the old harbour, and the markets (we were lucky and got an art market, an antique market, the regular Saturday food market, a clothing market, and the fish market, all during our stay). There are lovely little cafés, great restaurants, and a well-stocked supermarket nearby for everyday needs.The house itself is a beautiful old building: original brick walls and a lovely old wooden staircase give it real character. The outside space is perfect for enjoying a glass of local cider, Calvados, or the excellent apple juice our host left for us.A hint on parking/ getting to the house: On Saturdays during market time the road itself is closed to cars until 5pm. Whilst there is parking right in front of the house, you need to be very lucky to get a place. The best free parking we found was at 38 Cr Albert Manuel (about a 15-minute walk). Alternatively, try Rue Charrière (5 min) - these were the two free options we found - the parking places closer were for reserved (resident?) parking only.
