Welcome to Cuyuna Lakeshore Lodge... cuyunalodge.com. (see more here)! The Lodge is a serene private retreat located on an expansive 33 acres of wilderness. With over 1,400 ft of shoreline on beautiful Rabbit Lake the Lodge is perfectly located in the heart of Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.

The 5,600 square foot lodge boasts 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and plenty of gathering spaces for large groups coming together to vacation, gather for family reunions, host retreats or just rest and recharge.


As you pull into the property and wind your way to the lodge you’re surrounded by a heavy wooded oasis. You’re welcomed by a covered front porch with seating for enjoying hillside views. Upon entering the lodge you’ll be instantly drawn to the floor to ceiling windows capturing panoramic views of Rabbit Lake in all its glory. The great room boasts a 2-story stone fireplace with seating for large group gatherings. The dining room rotunda comfortably seats 12 with additional seating at the kitchen counter. The kitchen is perfect for entertaining with a butcher block island for prepping meals and simply gathering.


The space
As you walk downstairs, the entertaining spaces expand to include a bar area with a beverage fridge, a second living space with a large sectional and 70” TV and a game room that includes a pool table, foosball and ping pong table.

From relaxing in the lodge’s wellness center with a sauna and hot tub, to cooking up a feast for your whole crew in our grand, functional kitchen, you can be assured you’ll make memories to last.

In the Summer you’ll enjoy the lake and sandy beach with a dock for tying up your boat or for casting your fishing rod out to get the big catch. In the Fall you’ll enjoy the beautiful foliage colors with the ability to get out in nature through the property’s private walking trails. In the Winter you’ll enjoy outdoor snow fun, nearby snowmobile trails, great ice fishing and at the end of the day cozying up by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa!

Cuyuna Lakeshore Lodge is in the heart of the lakes of Northern Minnesota including one of the top mountain biking destinations in the US; Cuyuna Mountain Biking Trails. Year-round recreation that’s only 1 mile from Cruser’s Kettle Mountain Bike Trail Head.

Also be sure to check out the local dining, shopping and watering holes in Cuyuna, Crosby, Deerwood and surrounding Brainerd Lakes area

Overall the property was excellent. Plenty of accommodations for entertainment and sleep. I would recommend if you bring pets or children to keep a close eye on them and not let them wander the woods because there is evidence of bears being active in the area which is to be expected given the location but they never bothered us.

Great house and location. Only negative was they require a lot of cleaning before checkout even though you pay a cleaning fee. Most crazy is requiring washing AND DRYING all towels. I don't like that they rely on renters to clean the towels and not have them professionally cleaned.

We had a large group of children and adults. We had a great time and really made use of the kayaks and paddle boat. The kitchen was great although we needed more silverware. Would stay again.

Great property! We really enjoyed the hot tub looking at the lake. Very private property with no visible neighbors. There were stand up boards and a paddle boat to use. The wifi and cell service were pretty spotty, but overall would recommend!

We had a great time here! It was such a beautiful cabin on the lake. There was enough room for everyone and we made such amazing memories together there. Plenty of water activities to do. Would recommend this place!!!

A beautiful place. I loved the privacy - no neighbors - and the lake view. My grandkids loved the lake which they spent all day in. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and added to what the host provided. Kitchen is a dream and well stocked w lots of room to put your food. Loved the big round table. Lake is clear and quiet. Beach was smaller and lily pads prevalent. We kayaked and fished more than swam. Two otters and bald eagle near but no Canadian geese - so glad. The property is well maintained.

The property is very nice & the lake is beautiful with great fishing. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware & dishes to make cooking for a large group possible.The foosball & pool table were enjoyed by the kids. Our only disappointment was that the sauna room bunk beds were terribly uncomfortable & creaky. The remainder of the bedrooms & beds were comfortable. Also the handrails on the deck are kind of loose. It is close to mountain biking, bike trails & Crosby/Deerwood. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

Such a beautiful home! The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you need to cook, if you want to. The living room was beautiful. So many places to sleep! This might seem like a small thing, but they had a large selection of different types of pillows. You are sure to find the kind of pillow you like the best. There were just five women staying there this time. I would love to go back with my extended family and enjoy all the space and the amenities.

The kitchen is big and well appointed with plenty of dishes and almost everything we needed. The host was quick to respond to questions. The view and setting is beautiful. We especially loved the big round table that seats 12 for our retreat. The exterior looks nice and the fire pit chairs very nice.There were plenty of games and DVD’s but we couldn’t get the lower level TV to work. Also there are speaker wires hanging down from the corners- removed? Stolen? What we were disappointed most about was that the place looks tired inside. The furniture in the living room was old, couch ripped and sagging, rugs worn and dirty looking, fireplace didn’t work, screens ripped, lots of flies in the house. The beds were squishy and bedding looked very old. The whole place could use a good scrub and fresh paint, and deferred maintenance taken care of.
