South Park Cabin - Jefferson Retreat at 9500 Feet

Our dream of owning a mountain cabin in Colorado from our first visit there together in Fall of 2019, finally came to fruition—almost two years later in October 2021. After multiple road trips out to this beautiful part of the country from our home in Atlanta, GA and visiting up and down the Rockies, we finally made the leap by purchasing South Park Cabin. Nestled in the quiet & charming Michigan Hill neighborhood of Jefferson, we were completely enamored by the pastoral landscape, abundant wildlife, and serenity we found in bucolic South Park Valley.

Our first visit to Michigan Hill included a monthlong stay in August, when we stumbled across our cabin during an open house that was hosted down the street. An offer was made prior to our departure, and it was easily one of the best decisions we have ever made.

The mission and goal of our South Park Cabin rental is to provide a cozy stay, so guests may grow a similar sense of calm and wonder during their visit to Jefferson. The cabin offers most modern day amenities, including WIFI, so you have the option of staying connected…but oftentimes, the day is best spent with a cup of coffee in the morning watching the sun rise over the range or taking in the full expanse of the milky way on a cool summer night.

While guests at South Park Cabin can find themselves enjoying slow evenings nestled by the wood burning stove and warming up next to the fire, there are also a myriad of activities to partake in within a few minutes drive.
