1. Smoking of any type, of any product, is not permitted in the Property. A minimum $1,000 fee will apply if smoking is detected inside. Smoking outside with all doors & windows closed is permitted, with all butts properly disposed of.
2. People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. The Host has not represented this unit as an event facility, therefore, additional guests are permitted only with prior notice. At no time may any of these visitors remain overnight or assume any guest privileges whatsoever.
3. The Host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Host is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
4. Host allows children with the following stipulations: Guests are responsible for any and all necessary 'child proofing' and inspection of child-related amenities. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
5. There is no daily housekeeping service. While the house has been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and linens and bath towels are included, daily maid service is not included in the rate.
6. Pets are not permitted; any pet being "snuck" into the house will result in a minimum $300 cleaning fee. Service animals are welcome, but per ADA laws, they must never be left behind unattended. ESAs do not qualify as a Service animal and must be registered as a pet.
7. Cleaning fees are paid to assure Guest's arrival to a clean property, not to clean up post-checkout "messes." While we don't ask or expect Guests to clean prior to leaving, we do expect reasonable cleanliness standards followed - garbage thrown away, spills cleaned up, etc. Cleaning required due to excess messiness will result in additional costs, charged at a rate of $40/hour.
8. Guest understands that they are staying in a neighborhood. We expect Guests to respect our neighborhood and our neighbors' right to peaceful enjoyment of their homes. If Hosts receive a valid complaint from a neighbor, Guest will be notified. Failure to rectify the issue may result in cancellation of the stay.

Best Stay Ever
We have stayed in many places over the years but this was by far the best. The cleanliness, ease of communication with host, ease of checkout, stocked kitchen, toys, extra pillows and blankets and cute decor were the best.

Charming townhouse
We had a great time in Pittsburgh. The house worked perfectly for our family during our time there. It was clean, comfortable and in a perfect location to walk to pubs, museums and the ballgame. Just be careful on the stairs up to the loft as they are a little slick if you have socks on.

Perfect location
This property more than delivered on all counts. No issue with parking on the street but having the 2 reserved spots behind the house was great piece of mind. The location is perfect for shopping at the Strip, eating in Market Square, going to the Point or catching a baseball/football game. We did not bring children, but if you had them the playroom and dedicated sleeping space is very nice to have. Highly recommend this home for a great visit to Pittsburgh!

Excellent stay, sub-par third-party booking process
Overall, the stay was great - most of the living/sleeping spaces are very nice and the outdoor areas are great.Small quibbles: The kitchen lighting leaves a lot to be desired, as it's both too dim and hanging too low - no matter where you stand in the kitchen, you'll be casting a shadow on whatever you're trying to do. Also, we found the sofa bad to be incredibly uncomfortable - this can be fixed with a pad/eggcrate, I'm sure, we just didn't have room in the car to bring one (and didn't realize it would be needed).Big quibble: Hostwise requires using a third-party software to register/check-in before providing access to the property. This will include downloading images of your ID, as well as agreeing to either pay an insurance fee or a have a deposit held on a credit card. Worse, if you don't choose to pay the insurance, they won't allow you to finish the process until after an 8-hour delay, which just feels incredibly scummy. **To their credit, the hold was released in full within a day of check-out**, but prospective renters should be made aware of these requirements before booking if they aren't comfortable with providing their ID online or are not interested in going through the additional hassle of essentially re-booking through a third party,That said, overall the stay was good, would recommend the property as soon as Hostwise alters/abandons their current third-party procedures.

For future guests - we have no idea what Michael is referencing regarding an "8 hour delay" - there is no such thing. It sounds like his device had an issue, and blamed us for it.
In our portal, it takes at most 30 seconds to take a selfie picture of your ID. At this point, guests can either choose to do a $500 pre-authorization hold (it's not a "deposit" - we never receive the money and it's never taken out of the account, just "allocated" in case we need to cover damages), or they can choose a $15/night damage waiver. It's an either / or choice, we have no preference one way or another. There is no delay at all. However, the option to choose a security hold isn't available until 7 days in advance, because we don't want or need to have a $500 hold on your account for 3 months, and the banks don't allow it. Our system would have to keep renewing the hold until after checkout, which would just be silly.
Yes - we require an ID selfie to be uploaded into our secure portal. If your host DOESN'T require you to do this, you shouldn't stay with them, because it means they don't care of their property, or don't know what they're doing as hosts. VRBO, unlike that "other" site, pushes 100% of the liability onto hosts, and we're not letting unknown, unvetted people into our $500k homes. You can't even check into a Super 8 motel without showing an ID.
