Vatu Vonu or “Turtle Rock” is an amazing luxury home located 26 miles from the mainland of Viti Levu. This private residential home on the island of Malolo boasts stunning views overlooking the Pacific Barrier reef and the famous two islands of Tavarua and Namotu. The nightly price is for up to 6 guests, but can sleep 8. Additional cost for extra guests.

We can help arrange everything from land and sea transportation to the villa along with wonderful tropical and local cuisine meals cooked for you daily along with your own private longboat and captain. You will also have amazing 24/7 caretakers and maid service "Waqa and wife Seni" to help as much as you like or give you as much privacy as you want.

Located among world class surf, kitesurfing, diving, and fishing, Vatu Vonu is set up to take care of everything with full or part time staff available, maximizing your water time and fun.

Vatu Vonu Fijian Villa is made up of three bure’s. Each connected through a breezeway, so it feels as if each room is its own domain. The bures are built in the classic Fijian fashion with high ceilings, hardwoods, air conditioning and lots of windows and glass to regulate the sea breezes. Paradise

Our family had a wonderful experience at this lovely and spacious villa with incredible views. The host family made us feel right at home and are incredible cooks! Also, there is so much to see and do out on the water. We would love to go back!Highly recommend this booking as it is a one of a kind experience. Also, communication with the property manager is excellent, and she handles everything in a timely matter and anticipates what is needed.Thank you for opening up your home to us!

Family trip

We are 6 people - grandparents, parents, and teens. The home was a perfect size for us and had all the features we needed. The shining best part is the family we got to know and who took the best care of us. We were spoiled, well fed, and totally looked after
and absolutely loved each of them. Every day was full! The all-inclusive package is a must!

Amazing property

This house is amazing! The views from the balcony and pool are incredible! We went with the all-inclusive option which included breakfast and dinner every day and also came with a longboat and captain for up to 8 hours a day. Our longboat captain, Robbie, was incredible! He knew all the best reefs for snorkeling and also the local restaurants for lunches. We had a few small issues at the house that the owners ensured were promptly resolved. We also had an issue with late luggage by the airline which was also remedied by the owners! Fiji and Malolo Island were fantastic!

Amazing

My husband, 3 kids and I had so much fun staying at Katie’s place. We were warmly welcomed by Waqa and his family to this beautiful and clean villa. What will strike you right away is the ocean view right off the deck! We were never bored because we had the boat available to go surfing, snorkeling, spear fishing and exploring. I highly suggest having a coffee/drink and snorkeling at Castaway resort, climbing to the top of Malolo and surfing near Namotu and Tavarua. My kids spent a lot of time surfing at Swimming pools where the waves were gentle enough for them. I can’t say enough good things about Waqa and his beautiful family. They were so welcoming and cooked delicious food for us. The papayas and bananas from their garden were sooooo good. We would definitely love to go back some day!

AMAZING VILLA

I’m not sure I can explain how amazing this property was in words, but I’ll try. From the moment we booked we had easy communication. All our needs were responded to quickly and were actually met! Katie was just amazing with organizing everything from our nanny, to our boat transfers to the island. Now let’s talk about the house caregivers. I cannot say enough about Waqa and Sandy. They MADE OUR TRip!! They were unbelievable. BEST service, it felt like family. I cried when we had to leave. They were amazing with our toddler. And can we talk about Waqa’s cooking!!!! Heaven on earth, please make sure to get the meal package! Wish we did more than 4 days of food. The villa itself was stunning. Perfect location, and the villa itself was so clean and roomy. We had six people and a toddler and had more than enough room. Great place to chill out after using the private boat all day. Highly recommend this stay! We will be back! Thank you so much for letting us be your guests. It was a trip of a lifetime thanks to you!

It was always a Dream of mine to visit the Fijian islands. The day I did, I ended up catching the largest Pelagic fish I had ever caught and surfed the best waves of my life at the world renowned surf break, Cloudbreak. I instantly fell in love with Fiji. Not only is it beautiful, it’s culture and people are friendly, warm and happy. Conde Naste, claims it’s the “Happiest Place On Earth”. I would most definitely have to agree.
With a week vacation under my belt and my endorphins still firing on all levels, I sought out to purchase property in Fiji. That’s when I found Vatuvonu. An ideal 10,000 sq foot piece of property overlooking the surf I just rode and the fish I had just caught. With sand on my feet, walking into the airport on my return flight, I couldn’t wait to get home to call the Realtor and let him know I was buying that lot.
After purchasing the lot, it sat for several years. Then, I offered a very close buddy of mine to buy into the property with me and help develop our amazing luxury villa. Mike and Katie Hennessy along with their daughter Brisa Hennessy have been working and living part time on the island of Namotu. Their daughter is a professional surfer on the Pro Tour and is traveling with her mother all around the world surfing and competing against the best woman in the sport. Mike spends most all of his time taking guests from Namotu out for the catch of the day. If you’re lucky enough to spot Mike, you may want to ask em for a few hour fishing trip as he’s known to always come back to the island with fish in hand! The stars truly aligned roughly three and half years after I purchased the lot. Mike called me and said, “hey can we go in partners on the land you purchased and build a fabulous home”? And so the story begins. But to hear it all, you’ll need to come visit us in fiji. Come and enjoy the best fishing in the world, World Class Surfing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and golf or just relax!

Malolo Island is located a short boat ride to several famous surf spots, Cloudbreak and Restaurants! You can see the to islands Namotu and Tavarua from the pool deck of our home. It's quiet it's private and it's all yours! Our caretaker "Waqa" is our gentle giant who loves children and has a green thumb so if you love vegetable and fruit and herbs, he's got them all growing on the property. Fresh papaya anyone? Directly in front of the home is a sandy beach and no high surf, so you can enjoy the ocean, snorkel, kayak, SUP or just relax and enjoy the view. With a very short walk, you can hit the small hotel called Funky Fish and have lunch, jump in the pool and purchase a beverage of your choice, ask for Tumelly the manager or anyone on staff who will greet you and welcome you in.
