Everything went well. Good communication, easy to find. We were warned about the Wi-Fi, but it was fine - we were there for some family time, so no screens was nice. We cooked our meals and the kitchen was stocked with the utensils and supplies we needed.

Beautiful and relaxing

The cabin was absolutely beautiful, and secluded. Had a big front and back porch with porch swings, 2 firepits and so much more. If i could give more than 5 stars I would. We all left there feeling relaxed and nit wanting to leave.

Very nice cozy place. Very quiet and very private. The owner reached out to me asking me if everything was working properly. Everything was great. 2 bedrooms and both had their own bathroom .

Beautiful and quiet

Great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Close to the marina for boating and fishing and plenty of room to get trailers in and out. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful quiet cabin

If you are looking for a great quiet end of the road cabin you have found it. No houses in sight but can hear roosters in the morning so not far away. Wonderful array of birds including hummingbirds which the owner so graciously left extra food. The owner has thought of everything including a highchair and pack-n-play. Well stocked kitchen and great space in bedrooms with hide a bed in each as well as a hide a bed in the living room. Two great porches the length of the house front and back. A nice big firepit with a cooking rack. Extremely well kept; the pictures really don't do this justice.

Quiet and peaceful

Great secluded house that was quiet and peaceful. We always worry about the beds when we book a place but the beds here were comfy and we slept great. WiFi was hit or miss but we enjoyed the time disconnected from our electronics.

Amazing cabin

We chose this cabin due to the location. We loved the layout of the cabin. Kitchen had so much more than we'd ever had at a rental-seasonings, coffee, tea, creamer, eggs, bottled water, condiments. My son loved playing outside. We didn't get to use the fire pit due to the wind. Wi-fi was slow but with the many DVDs at the cabin, we kept ourselves entertained. Even had kid's toys and games. We would definitely stay here again.

Our story

After visiting the area for more than 15 years for turkey hunting, we finally found a cabin to call our getaway cabin! We purchased the 20-acre property in July 2021 and personally spent three months renovating the neglected home inside and out as well as the grounds. We have poured ourselves in to making the cabin nice for guests as well as our friends and family. We hope you enjoy the Mutton Creek Getaway as much as we already have in the short time we've owned it!

Although we've primarily visited the Stockton Lake area in the past for turkey hunting, camping, and a little hiking, we now know the area's restaurants, attractions, facilities, and people.
