This listing is for “Unit 2.” The 1 bedroom unit has a separate living room and joint kitchen dining room. The bedroom has a brand new king sized mattress and bedding with a dedicated mini split for A/C and heat that can be remotely controlled separate from the remainder of the condo. A door in the bedroom leads to an exterior, private patio with a small mosaic table for two. The living room furniture consists of a large, comfortable couch that also has a pull out bed capable of sleeping two adults. A separate recliner chair and wall mounted 55” TV is guaranteed to meet all comfort expectations. Control the climate inside the room with a remote mini split.
The bathroom is fully stocked and the tiled shower is supported by exterior tankless water heaters that provide endless hot water on demand.
A spacious kitchen with dining table setting seats up to 4 people. A gas stove and oven with large fridge allows guests to have endless cooking options. Conveniently in the middle of town and 5 minutes from the I-17 freeway, families can easily take day trips north to the Grand Canyon or south to Scottsdale’s golf courses and everywhere in between. Returning to a fully equipped and furnished condo allows families to choose to cook and relax while streaming TV on high speed internet.
A shared washer and dryer behind the building is available for all guests to use.
Centrally located in the Black Canyon City community and just off the I-17 freeway. Parking at the property is on recently laid gravel and each unit is provided one complimentary shaded parking spot. Additional parking on the property is available free of charge if guests have an extra vehicle or bringing a trailer. Guests have unrestricted access to the property. Numerous lights around the parking spots provide easy navigation and safe travel to and from their vehicles at night.
Other units may or may not be rented out during your stay to others traveling via VRBO. Please be respectful with noise levels during the evening hours.

Great location between Phoenix and Sedona
Very comfortable accommodations, perfect for our purposes. Owner was very helpful and responsive. We stayed in the downstairs unit (2 others are upstairs). Neighborhood looks sketchy at first but we had no problems. Would stay here again.

We had an amazing trip. The condo was exactly what it looked like. Very well kept. The bed was amazing. We had the best sleep we had in a long time. Very easy to get to. A couple of good restaurants very close by. We will definitely stay again.

Basic but very clean
Well positioned halfway between Phoenix and Sedona. Black Canyon City is a very small town and the location is convenient, just a few minutes from the Interstate. Stayed 7 nights in unit. This unit had the basic necessities for overnight needs. If you're looking for a clean, simplistic, minimalist stay, off the beaten path for a good price, this is your place. We would stay here again.

Good central location
Well positioned between Phoenix and Sedona although not much for convenience in this little town (i.e. no coffee shops or typical food chain place). The condo has all the necessities needed. We had a couple communication issues with the owner. I think the couch could use a good steam clean.

Black Canyon Retreat
This was a perfect facility/location for a nice visit with friends in the area. An easy commute to the city, yet a peaceful stop for vacation downtime ... always good to have one's own space. The location has everything one needs for a visit (groceries, hardware and a couple of friendly bars/restaurants). The Host was accessible and attentive to our questions. We hope to return in 2023. Thank you Garrett!

Husband and father of two children. Owner of an environmental consulting business and real estate investor. Traveling to new locations while experiencing the personable comforts of other Airbnb host homes has been a wonderful opportunity for our family and has inspired us to share ours as well.

Born and raised in Black Canyon City for about 20 years, this community holds a special place for me and my childhood. Most of my and my wife's family reside in this region of Arizona and is a community we visit multiple times a year. When I was able to acquire the capital, I knew I wanted to invest into fixing homes in my old community to revitalize portions of the neighborhood. Short-term renting became appealing to be able to bring travelers into this community to boost it economically while advertising it's rural charm and convenient travel location relative to Arizona's natural scenic treasures.

This building used to be a barbershop that I visited as a child while the other portion the owner lived in. Over time the owner had passed away and the building became dilapidated. Eventually it foreclosed and I knew I wanted to invest capital into transform it from an eye sore to an attraction. We converted it into a triplex by creatively building walls inside and tapping into the solid infrastructure. My wife and I are very hands on with our projects, and are very proud of the blood and sweat we put into this project. We hope that you can enjoy this building as much as we do.
