What makes this property special is its beauty you don’t see old farms like this anymore with pastures and big trees and little gravel roads that lead you to it! It’s an absolutely gorgeous place to be cottage is in the middle of a 2000 acre farm. Sleeps 4! 16x24’ small house with everything you need. Kitchen, eating area inside the house and outside In The yard! beautiful cedar solid wood floors.There are cows all around, deer, turkey, and a bald eagle that visits occasionally behind the house. There are beautiful views all around the house. Nothing but scenic fields . You are only 3 miles from Cumberland Parkway but isolated enough to enjoy true country.
Your view is miles of green fields cows deer squirrels and rabbits. No people in sight! Country doesn’t get better than that. 500 megabyte high speed internet This location is all about peace quiet and harmony with nature.
If your looking for a place to work from home. This is it! Great internet, peace, quiet and no interuptions

DRY GULCH is a local geologically unique hike. You cross streams. See caves where early settlers lived during the winter. Animals abound in a short hike at this local nature preserve!! There are cows all around, deer, turkey, dove, turtles, hawks, and wild geese that visit occasionally on the ponds as they migrate. There are beautiful views all around the house. Nothing but scenic fields and trees! Miles of green fields cows deer squirrels and rabbits. Country doesn’t get better than this.

Fire pit outdoor sitting area, beautiful night sky millions of visible stars, huge trees quiet and secluded. Fabulous restaurants within 5 miles ran by local people. Home made cooking at its finest! People still wave when you meet them on the road. Corn fields. Soybean fields. Hay fields. Barns still being used. walk on a small road that goes through the farm. Angus heifers in the field behind you. Every window has a beautiful view.

Great, with a few considerations

1. The fenced in 'yard' is a barbed wire fence that does not totally enclose the yard. It is a fence for cows and the wire is sharp. 2. The cabin is nice, cute decor, rustic but fuctional3. The accommodations are grimey - most surfaces have dirt & hair/fur on them. There was another issue with cleanliness that the host resolved. I was able to do some cleaning in the bathroom with wipes I had. Don't hesitate to stay, just be aware it's not going to be clean like staying at a hotel, for example.

Property is exactly as described - charming little place with an exquisitely comfy bed, a small shower stall in the bathroom, and a little kitchenette. We didn’t spend a lot of time there since we were in town specifically for a festival at Barren River Magic, but it suited our needs perfectly. We would definitely stay there again, and would hopefully get to see the cows next time!

The bees knees

Me and my Mother’s stay has been absolutely wonderful our host is above and beyond our expectations. She is wonderful, sweet, kind and thoughtful and has excellent taste. She is very attentive to her guests, but gives you privacy as well. The property is gorgeous, rolling Hills, beautiful views, dear appear periodically, especially in the evening. They are lovely not to mention the hummingbirds come and visit every morning my mother enjoys, watching them from her window, not to mention all the other wildlife and beautiful birds in the area, the surrounding land is wonderful to take a Hike or stroll through the woods and fields and coming across waterfalls and streams is lovely. This experience has been wonderful. I recommend it immensely to anyone that likes getting close to nature. It is Shangri-La to me, John Krisky.
The views are beautiful!!

This is a quiet serene place out in the country. A great way to get away from the every day hustle and bustle of daily life and work load. Heaven on earth!

If you want a place that is away from everything then that is really all it has going for it. I did not feel it was in good condition and wasn't clean which is upsetting when you have to pay a cleaning fee. The refrigerator was very dirty and the stove looks like it has never been cleaned. The shower is barley a one person and the towels and wash clothes did not look clean in my opinion we ended up buying our own to feel more comfortable.The place is very small and it could be better taken care of there is spray insulation everywhere which does not help with the looks of the place. Small space heater is the only thing that heats the entire place which we would unplug when we left so had to reheat when we got back. We got this place because we are working in Edmonton so when we had a long day of work we like to watch tv to relax. Well that wasnt that great old tv the only apps it has are Amazon and Netflix so we only had Amazon. Internet struggled to work so shows took a minute or so to load. Could use some blinds or curtains on the front part of the house you might be in the middle of no where but the sun still comes in the morning and the bed in facing those windows. I really hate to say this much about a place but I did not have a comfortable stay.

A breath of fresh air

This cabin offered the peace and quiet we were looking for. The cabin was just the right size for two adults and two dogs. The location is set back away from others, with cows being the nearest neighbors, but it's a 10 minute drive to stores and restaurants. Star gazing was a highlight, as the constellations were close and clear. Thank you for having us.

Secluded Get-Away

Just what we needed
to get away from EVERYTHING! Our stay was a much needed getaway from all distractions. The cabin is secluded and quiet. Had all the basics you need with a beautiful view. Stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker were all provided if you want to eat in. There is no TV
which we were good with. But, there is a radio and we did have phone service. There were a couple of deer that we saw on the property almost daily. We enjoyed riding the rural back roads to take pics of the beautiful old barns everyday after visiting Mammoth Cave National Park, antiquing with the locals and visiting the Amish bakeries and communities! It was a great trip and we appreciated Kelly recommending restaurants, and advising of upcoming events in the area during our stay 
.and for allowing us to bring our 2 Yorkies!!! Thank you Kelly!!

The property is true country living. Gravel road right up to the house. Hundreds of acres of farmland all around it. The house has all the amenities for comfort. Night sounds and beautiful stats! You can even see fireflies in the summer time.
