Your next outdoor excursion starts at Carroll Cabin! Centrally located, this single-level home is only two blocks from the Lake Tahoe shore, walking distance to Tahoe National Forest's hiking trails, and a two-mile drive to the nearest ski slopes. On snowy evenings, gather your group around the eye-catching stone fireplace for a cup of cocoa or choose a board game for a family tournament. When the California sun is shining, you'll love relaxing on the private furnished deck or grilling up some lunch on the gas grill. If your meal plans are a bit more extensive than that, the oversized full kitchen has everything you need to prepare some homecooked comfort food. Children traveling with you will delight in the cozy bunk room and stretching out in the front yard.

When you enter the foyer and turn left, you'll find a bedroom near the kitchen. Two more bedrooms are down the hall with easy access to a shared bathroom, and the main corner bedroom is further back with its own full bathroom.

March 2024 family trip. Still snowing
Wanted to spend time with my family for a little getaway. The place has plenty of rooms and beds. We had 10 and had no isses with space. All the basics (except toilet paper) were provided in the kitchen and rooms. We were able to catch fresh snowfall and it added a winter cabin charm. Place is cozy, spacious, and kept clean. Tv and board games were also provided. There are a few parks and areas to explore, so it made it easy to spend time with family. There is a liquor store near by, but you will have to drive a little out for a retail store. Only issue we had was getting in at first because they sent the wrong door code. But they quickly sent me the correct one. They make it easy to reach out for a call/text. Overall statisfied with my family trip and recommend!

Extremely Dissatisfied with property
It started with us arriving in the early evening and it was 32° outside and I had my twin 18 month old grandsons with me, the front door law had been broken and not been fixed. It took us over 45 minutes to work with Vacasa to finally get into the house, the trash had not been picked up and was completely full and also the owners had stayed previously and it had not been clean. They were long black hair strands throughout the house. They were exposed wires on the living room floor, which I have no idea what they were. The heating is atrocious, part of the house is burning hot, and the rest is freezing . Vacasa is the worst management, and. I did a review and they will not post it every time you call Vacasa you get a different person from. I would not recommend this property for anyone

Great for families or groups, and very responsive and helpful host.
The place was very nice, walkable distance to the lake, and Mike was very helpful in answering all my questions. I highly recommend this place if you're going as families/groups. Will probably come back again
