Houston Dog Friendly Cottage & Gated and Cozy Home

New Listing! March 2022

We lived in this home for 14yrs until two months ago. We miss this home because our children were raised here and we love the space, layout, and outdoor patio 24x 24 covered deck. The house is located about 4 miles north of downtown near the 610n & 45n intersection. We are only about 2 miles from the Heights neighborhood, with plenty of great restaurants and things to do. In terms of the Texas Medical Center (TMC) we about a 20-25min drive to Memorial Hermann, St. Lukes, Texas Childrens, Methodist, Women's Hospital, etc. Downtown is only a 10-15 min drive which is where the Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, BBVA Soccer stadium, Midtown and Theater district are located.

The home is completely gated, which is perfect for those travelers with pets or children. The front gate has a automatic gate opener and we provider a remote for your use during your stay. The back area of the home has a large 24 x 24 deck that is great for entertaining family and just lounging around. The home has a large master bedroom with a 15x 10 walk in custom built closet. Three of the bedroom are on one side of the home the other is on the opposite and can be used as an office.

The area is going through a transitional phase, and property values have doubled in the past five years because of Its proximity to Downtown . Some neighbors can have music playing late into the night on the weekend. Also, an additional cleaning or stained towels will be subject up to a $150 fee.

Stayed 7 days, most enjoyable and lovely home. Hosts were extremely accommodating for whatever was needed. Spacious living quarters for a travel of 4 to 8 people, dog friendly was an added plus. Would recommend and will book again if ever in the Houston area.

My family stayed for a week at this home. We had a great experience. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had. She helped make our stay easy and had great recommendations. The property is incredibly dog friendly. It is in a good location to get to anything in the city. Would stay here again!

Houston

The place was super clean, cozy, and inviting. I really liked the decor! The beds were comfy, and having a walk-in closet was awesome—no more living out of our suitcases. The kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager was really helpful and checked in on us a lot. The location was a bit different than I thought; the neighborhood seemed a bit worn down, and the streets were pretty narrow—thank goodness my husband is a great driver! We even had a cute, friendly Doberman visiting us in the mornings and evenings. Huge thanks to Veronica and Rene for sharing your home with us!

Houston Stay

Veronica and Rene were excellent hosts. We rented the house for our son’s graduation from college. The house was everything and more than listed. The amenities were great there wasn’t anything lacking. We only wished the weather had cooperated so we could utilize the outdoor space more. It is a great place when traveling with animals. We plan to come back during the summer. I would highly recommend the property.

Very Enjoyable

This was the perfect home for our family's Christmas get together and gatherings in Houston. Having our 89 year old grandfather join us and have a safe shower was important to us. We had plenty of room to have 11 gather from around the city and Country to have our family meals and celebration. Thank you for your warm and welcoming home.

Hello, The house itself was spacious and nice and we enjoyed our visit and thanks for opening up your house in the Houston area. It was perfect for entertaining for our family of 8. Thanks again! Also appreciate you for being so responsive when we had problems with the lock. Just afew maintence things. A light bulb was burned out in master bath. There was one flickering in the 2nd bathroom. Would be nice to have a few more towels and washcloths. We had to buy some. The shower liner in the main bathroom must leak as water always came through the back end and on to the floor. We put a towel on the floor when showering. The house and outdoor patio could use a deep cleaning. Also some cards and games would be nice. There were 2 counter chairs that were falling apart. We set the one chair to the side. Sorry for the items mentioned but just what we noticed to help for your future visitors. Thanks again!

La casa bien. Los anfitriones una decepciĂłn

Todo bien. En la estancia. Al salir , nunca tuve ningĂșn problema por una casa. Por una bolsa de comida que no sacamos , me cobraron 380 dĂłlares. Dijeron que habĂ­a gusanos ! Y comida detrĂĄs de los muebles erc. No convivo con la suciedad y menos en las condiciones que dicen. Error no sacar fotos. Luego no se que paso. Pero quien vive con ese olor que me avisan. No es la primera vez que intenta siempre cobrar algo mĂĄs por nada. Pague la limpieza y se como dejo las cosas. En varias plataformas tengo good bien. Justo acĂĄ en esta saca parece que vivĂ­an les dejando pudrir todo. Porque serĂ­a asĂ­. No tengo problema con todo lo demĂĄs. Pero esto Ășltimo me suena a abuso ojo con eso.

A great Houston option!

Overall my group and I had a lovely stay! The owners were super communicative and responded to our inquiries in a timely manner. The house is big and has a lot of room. My one critique is that the home could use a deep clean. Aside from that, I’d say it’s a great choice if you are looking for a large home within close proximity to a lot of Houston’s best.

Nice house

Overall a nice house, plenty of room for a adult party of 7, not much in the way of essentials, such as Tupperware, silverware and and cooking spices, they have issues with the plumbing and request you throw all toilet paper in the garbage, we found that unacceptable and unsanitary, if they get that issue fixed, I would give Thema 5 out 5 stars
