Wander Camp Bryce Canyon - Escalante is a rustic glamping accommodation located 15 minutes outside of Bryce Canyon National Park and 30 minutes from Escalante National Monument. We offer an immersive outdoors experience while including a few more amenities than traditional camping while still operating off-grid. If you're looking for a place to stay that provides the sights and sounds of nature, with a few comforts from home, book now!

Wander Camp Bryce Canyon - Escalante's Family tent includes 1 King bed and 1 Twin bed within walking proximity to shared bathrooms.

OUR TENTS
Each of our large, waterproof canvas bell tents - 216 sq. feet, 16 feet in diameter and height - include low profile windows and a large netted door with double zippers for privacy. Inside you'll see they come furnished with not only the necessary camping furniture, but luxury beds with high thread count sheets, plush down comforters, pillows and blankets. A soft rug, side tables and leather wingback chairs give it that touch of home.

We do operate completely off-grid which means no electricity is provided at camp. We provide solar lanterns in each tent for lighting, as well as solar lighted pathways throughout camp; however, you'll definitely want to make sure you take time to enjoy the darkness for star gazing outside of our tent.

OUR BATHROOMS
Our camp has COMMUNAL bathroom facilities which are shared with all guests across camp. The bathrooms are under a separate canvas bell tent (not attached to individual guest tents) and are within walking proximity on the grounds. Bathrooms include a RV flush toilet, running sink, and warm shower. Water temperature all depends on usage, as well as outdoor temperatures and may at times be cold. *Bathroom water is not consumable, but can be used for brushing teeth.Only toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels are provided in the bathrooms. Towels and any other toiletry items desired are to be provided by the guest.

We advise all guests to plan ahead and pack accordingly as this is an immersive outdoor accommodation and experience.

We chose to operate off-grid in order to uphold the rural nature of our location with the purpose of bringing our guests uninterrupted views of the most beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stars. The following items are provided in order to keep our guests both comfortable and safe.

- Eco-friendly, solar powered lighting throughout camp.
- Complimentary solar powered lantern(s) and USB charged fan(s) inside of tents.
- Guests are encouraged to provide their own USB battery operated charger for cell phones and additional charging of lanterns, as needed.

Terrible Two Dayd

Company did refund our last night’s stay due to not being able to access the campsite. Creek bed flooded. Talked to management and asked if there was somehow we could get our medications that were in the tent
.and we shouldn’t go without them. They stated they couldn’t do anything about it. Didn’t even offer other suggestions or provide an alternate place for us to spend the night. We finally found a hotel that had a vacancy, but it wasn’t until midnight.

Bathroom overflow

The tent and sleeping quarters were ok and comfortable. The problem was the showers in the morning - wastewater from the toilets over flowed into the bottom of my shower after someone flushed the toilet ( ankle deep). The septic was not draining properly. Best I got from management and VRBO - an apology for inconvenience. Wander camp claimed there was someone cleaning hourly - we didn’t see anyone between 0600-1000 am when shower overflowed with “human waste” from toilet. The pump on drinking water faucet also failed. Maybe be a good thing who knows where that would have come from
 Good luck staying here without getting hepatitis.

Crazy awful

We arrived at the location at 1 in the afternoon. No one was in any tent and there was no one around to check us in. We did not receive a number of what tent was ours. At that point we could have walk in to anyone's tent. We tried to call the place several times, but the number did not work so we went to a nearby minimarket. The lady that owned the minimarket had a different number but was also unable to get a hold of the tent company. She commented that the owners are always flaking out on people and that the river you have to cross floods and strands people there for days. We went back and waited another 45 minutes but still no one showed up, so we cancelled and booked a nearby hotel.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Wander Camp Bryce Canyon is located approximately 15 minutes (by car) from Bryce Canyon National Park Visitor’s Center and about 5 minutes from the town of Tropic. We are also located on Utah’s scenic route through Escalante (30 minutes from camp) to Capitol Reef National Park (total of a 2-3 hr drive).

Our rustic, glamping tents are both cozy and comfortable at 200+ sq ft. Inside you’ll find structured beds and furnishings that provide a feel of home so you’ll have all you need for your stay, including solar lanterns for those dark nights. All tents are within walking distance of shared bathroom facilities with flushing toilets, sinks and showers.

Each of our tents include luxury beds with high thread count sheets, plush down comforters, pillows and blankets. A soft rug, side tables and leather wingback chairs, as well as a solar powered lantern for the dark skies you'll experience after the sun sets. We also have eco-friendly, solar powered lit paths as you'll want to venture to other parts of camp during your stay, such as our communal outdoor dining areas and shared fire pits for the full glamping experience.
