Stayed at this property several times. Sea Mist is a beautiful building in a great location. The condo is clean and well maintained. I would stay again and I recommend it highly.

wonderful location

My husband and I stayed here 22 years ago before it was sold. We were disappointed over the years that it was no longer a place to stay...but alas, found it on VRBO...who says you can not go back! A lovely place to stay!

Long awaited Great view

My wife has wanted to stay at the Sea Most for 40ish years and for many reasons it has never happened until this year. It was very satisfying to see her face as she watched the ocean waves roll in. Great view!

We had such a wonderful week in your condo. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was great for our son who loves to surf as he could check out the waves from the balcony. We loved our stay and hope to book again in the future.

Great Beach Week

What a wonderful gem! We had an amazing week in Cape May! This property is adorable and exactly what we needed to enjoy a week at the beach. We had guests two of the seven nights and the queen pull out couch was more than comfortable for them. We already rebooked for next year.

We expected a small space but Condo was smaller than expected. Although advertised as sleeping four, we had trouble accommodating three as the sofa bed in our opinion was unusable due to a very large gross stain. Condo was surface cleaned but some areas (lampshades, picture frames) were very dusty triggering my wife’s allergies. Condo had some minor maintenance issues such as a slow draining bathroom sink, living room tv washed out color, broken window shade in bedroom, and very tricky old locks on exterior doors. Sea Mist is in a great location and building exterior and landscaping was well maintained. Overall we had a good time but would likely not return to this location.

Beach week at Sea Mist

The apartment was very nice and we enjoyed our stay here. The location to the beach and shops was excellent. It may be a little small for some guests but for us it was fine. There is an elevator but you still need to navigate a few steps if this is a problem for you. We had a nice view of the ocean from the little balcony and had fun watching the storm come through over the ocean one day. The dishes do need some updating and inside the storage ottomans need to be cleaned out but other than that this was an awesome place to stay.

Lovely layout...bathroom was situated between sofa bed in living room and private bedroom...making it very convenient for both adults. View of ocean from our 3rd floor balcony. 1 slot for parking which was huge plus. Stacked washer and dryer...big plus. We did not know until After booking and paying that we had to provide ALL of our linens...sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths. This was quite inconvenient. We were able to walk everywhere from this unit.

Overall, the unit was clean and the location was great. There was plenty of room for 3 (two adults and one child). Check in was simple and reaching the property manager was easy. That being said, there were some negatives. The listing mentions there would be no linens (bedsheets, pillow cases etc) but doesn’t mention that there is no towels so we did not bring any. Not even a hand towel in the bathroom. The appliances weren’t great, the fridge was not very cold, the garbage disposal does not work, the stove fan does not work, and also the toilet has a very weak flush and got clogged several times during our stay. There were no coffee filters for the coffee machine and no laundry detergent for the washing machine.

The Sea Mist, unit 7 is a nice vacation property overall. But, some important items were lacking and not up to par. The unit was not completely clean upon arrival. Hair on the bed pillow and a large stain on the bed cover, which we had to wash the first night. The handle on the toilet was loose to the point of falling off, and eventually did not work. We needed to call maintenance and coordinate directly with him in order to be at the unit so we could let him in to do the repair. Check in and check out requires retrieving the keys from a basement storage area, where they are kept in a lock box hooked to a chain link storage area. It’s not a pleasant first impression of the property and was confusing upon arrival. Upon leaving, there were 2-3 inches of standing water on the landing at the basement entrance due to rain, and in addition to getting wet to enter the basement, the setup seems dangerous as you need to also turn on the timed lights to the basement as you are standing in the pool of water. Some blinds in the unit did not go up and down. The Sea Mist building itself is beautiful and perfectly restored. The elevator is very helpful and common areas were clean. The house is right across the street from the beach and perfectly located. The local property agent was very responsive and helpful, as was the local maintenance person. The bed was comfortable, while the sofa bed was not. Four adults in this unit would be tight. There is only one bathroom.

Beach view getaway

From relaxing in the beautiful living area to watching the dolphins play in the waves from the kitchen table and the wind shielded balcony, we enjoyed every moment of our stay in this well equipped condo.

Very cozy

We loved staying at the iconic Sea Mist. It was centrally located, we enjoyed walking to Washington St. mall with its shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time just strolling along the streets admiring all the beautiful architecture Cape May is famous for. Can't beat having the beach right across the street. Our only complaint was that there was very loud construction going on in a building one door down that started in the early morning and lasted all day for the entire week. Constant pounding, sawing, heavy equipment moving back and forth, along with the shouting from the construction guys. It took away the pleasure of sitting out on the balcony viewing the ocean. We ended up sitting inside with windows closed whenever we were in the unit. We know the owners couldn't control the construction, but it made our time at this beautiful oceanfront unit a little less enjoyable.

Wonderful place in Cape May

Great location - excellent property. The Sea Mist is a beautiful place to stay in. The accommodations were comfortable and modern. The place has been recently renovated and the property is very well maintained. A very enjoyable vacation.
