We, Cindi and Kurt Gerber (co-hosts), are originally from Chicago and purchased this property in Michigan a year ago. Cindi has been a teacher in Chicago Public Schools for over twenty years (and still going strong), and Kurt is a professional photographer specializing in weddings, corporate work and has made two films. He owns his photography company with his long-term business partner and is based in Chicago.

Our goals for this property are to continue to make improvements on the house every year, build an organic vegetable and fruit garden for guests to enjoy, and eventually house chickens, goats and other farm animals for guests to interact with, if desired. We are very interested in creating a sustainable living environment for ourselves and our guests.

Macy Hill Farm is located in Berrien Springs, Michigan. It is located along the SW Michigan wine trail, so it is close to several local wineries and distilleries. The farm is also near several other SW Michigan towns such as New Buffalo, Three Oaks, Lakeside and St. Josephs. It is about a 20-30 minute drive to Lake Michigan but also near other local beaches.

The full-sized pool is a great amenity at the house. We have pool toys and games available for guests, as well as chaise lounges, a comfortable outdoor conversation seating area and a dining area large enough to seat up 12 people. The pool deck also has a gas grill available for guest use.

We have also built a fire pit for guests to enjoy while watching evening sunsets.

Macy Hill Farm is a large home that can sleep up 15 guests. It has six bedrooms and an attic with more sleeping areas and a pool table. The pool is kept up nicely by the hosts and offers a very relaxing area to unwind from a busy day antiquing or visiting nearby towns.

The house is near several charming towns, beaches, Lake Michigan and great restaurants, wineries, distilleries and breweries.

This is a great location to enjoy all of what SW Michigan has to offer, and only a two-hour drive from Chicago.
