It was a great place to stay, it had everything we needed.

We were in town for a wedding. It's was a busy weekend and this was a great place to go to to get ready. It was on a very quiet street and very close to great restaurants.

The Chestnut Spring 2025

Cozy place conviently located. Property is as described and everything is in working order. Owner provides clear rules for property as well as information for WiFi and parking. Would stay here again.

The perfect place for us

We so enjoyed staying at the Chestnut house and being able to cook meals and have my son & new daughter-in-law over. The living area was perfect for us all to watch the NCAA basketball tournament.

The host was very accommodating! We arrived sooner than anticipated and she let us check in with out any issues! This house will be my go-to when I return to robinson. Very spacious!

Great Stay in Robinson, IL

Perfect place for myself, daughter, and son who were in town for a golf tournament. Air conditioning worked great and the house was spacious enough for all 3 of us. Could have easily had the rest of our family there as well (total of 6 people). Appliances worked great. Wifi was reliable. Perfect location in town. Would stay there again.

Robinson, IL

Great location. House is roomy with lots of activity areas. Sleeps 8 but hard to feed 8 (only 5 glasses, 7 mugs, fewer forks than spoons and knives). We had room to spread out and really enjoyed the eclipse while we were there.

Family Reunion

Worked out great. We drove in from Texas and had a family reunion in Palestine up the road. My wife and I brought our 4 boys (age range: 3 to 10) and we stayed a few nights. Very spacious both inside and outside.

Very Cozy

Lorraine’s home was very cozy and was everything she advertised it to be. In a quiet neighborhood, that was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The only noise we ever heard was a train. My family loved to hear the train and its horn as it went thru the town of Robinson. The house, worked out perfectly for my family while staying in IL for a wedding. The beds and other furniture were very nice and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. If we ever need a rental in IL again, we would definitely rent this one again. it was the cleanest rental home we have ever stayed in! Very close to restaurants and grocery stores too!

Hometown visit

We enjoyed this property. It really fit our needs. So much better than staying in a motel especially in my home town. Very roomy property with lots of room to move around. Three full bathrooms were great! Furniture was nice and comfortable.

We arrived late and left late due to flt delays but Lorraine was accommodating. The house was clean and welcoming and the perfect place to gather with family while we were visiting. Would definitely book again

Sibling Get Away

The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. The rooms were large with plenty of table seating as well as living space to accommodate several people. The only problem was that the kitchen is not very well stocked. Only 1 pan, no toaster, no electric can opener. Cooking for a group is difficult with only one pan. Overall we enjoyed the house and would stay there again.

A spacious and quiety place to stay in Robinson

My family enjoyed staying here. It offered us a single level home that was much more kid friendly that my mom's house. Also much more quiet than a hotel (constant door slamming, noisy neighboring guests, rolling luggage, etc). The home has kitchen basics (plates, sliverware, cups, bakeware, large fridge, condiments, etc), washer/dryer with detergent, iron, and some bathroom tolietries. The home a great central location with a park and public swimming pool about a 2 min drive away.

I loved staying here. It was clean and spacious. a nice fenced in large yard. It had everything my family and I needed. Lorraine was very helpful. If I had any questions or needed anything she was very quick to respond. This will definitely be my go-to place when I come visit my family in Robinson.
