Clean and great view of the water, but caution it’s right on the road and every car on and off of Deer Isle dives by. Our experience was just okay, at least 1/2 the lamps had no bulbs, thermostat upstairs had dead batteries, mold on ceiling of upstairs bath… it was perfectly adequate, but was expecting more based on previous reviews and ratings.

Hi Edward, We’re sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations. The proximity to the road is listed in the house description so you can be aware before you book. That is also why we provide ear plugs and sound machines if needed for sleeping. Additionally, the thermostat was checked and is operating - it was just an alert saying low battery and to change soon but was fully functioning. Our cleaner has changed the batteries, she also checked the lamps, and one out of four lamps was not working - looked like the bulb needed to be screwed in a little more and it turned on. Lastly, we asked her to check for mold and could not find any. If you had taken pictures of this or any of your other issues we would have been sure to address them promptly.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed a long weekend at this cute little house on the water. The view did not disappoint and yes it's located on a road with traffic. Even still it was a nice stay; the kayaks were a great bonus. Beds were comfortable and most things were provided to make it an easy and welcoming stay. The quaint little town of Stonington is definitely worth a visit.

This VRBO home was cozy,we especially enjoyed the view from the house and the warm bonfire on the waterside.The home was very clean and very well equipped .Our stay was for 10 days it was beautiful,the drive to Arcadia national Park became redundant as there are only a couple roads to travel and it's over an hour to get there.We had difficulty finding restaurants open.We came to love the bridge as it always meant we made it home,you will understand,enjoy

The house was lovely- clean, great ocean views, all the amenities you need! Kayaking from the property was wonderful, but you need to watch the tide charts- you have a 2 hour window before high tide and 2 hours after high tide otherwise it would be very difficult to get in or out! There are rocks you need to climb over to get the kayaks in and out, but that is not uncommon. The only downside is the noise from the road! We found that you need to shut the windows in the Master Bedroom at night and turn on the AC. The host did provide ear plugs as well (thank you!). Fire pit was great!

Peaceful retreat

Very cute and comfy home, it is close to the road but not much traffic. About an hour from Bar Harbour and Acadia, town of Blue Hill close by and handy. Nice spot for winter vacation, owner very easily reached with questions. Many tourist spots closed starting December 1 but we found enough to do!

Lovely Coastal Maine Retreat

It's Coastal Maine, aka "down east" and about 1 1/2 hours to Acadia National Park....this was in the off season of October. The house is lovely, extremely clean & well appointed with access to beachfront. Awesome firepit. Easygoing email exchanges with owner. Absolutely no complaints

Friends visit Maine for a Wedding

Four of my friends and I rented this Vrbo house for a long weekend to celebrate our friend who was getting married on Deer Isle. The house was beautiful, with two full bathrooms and a large kitchen. The house was clean and the bedrooms were large and homey. With direct access to the water, this was one of the best stays I’ve ever had and would come back again and again!
