Very beautiful spacious clean house for our family of 12. So many bathrooms was a bonus!! Plenty of table space for eating and games. It was the perfect place for us!!

Great place for large group

Very clean place with many amenities! Great for large groups as each bedroom has its own bathroom. This place has everything you need for vacation and more!! Highly recommend.

Fabulous set-up for our group of 15. We were able to relax and enjoy conversation with siblings and cousins. We were in Walker for a cousins reunion (group of 30 people) held our cousins’s home on Leech Lake. Three years ago we all stayed in hotels which made it difficult to connect with other family members. We all were pleased with this gem.

Family Gathering

We had the most wonderful family gathering at this beautiful place. The accommodations were very comfortable. The game room was a big hit with the kids! The hosts went above and beyond to help us when needed. Our family experienced many special moments and memories. Our grandchildren still continue to talk about the fun we had at the “Big House.” We all highly recommend it!

Family reunion

This is the second year we’ve used this spot for our family reunion. Everyone has a private room and then we enjoy the community spaces for fixing our meals and being together again. Great setting just a short walk from the lake.

Very nice property & great size for our group of 14. we had 13 motorcycles & had plenty of room for off street parking which is great. Our group does a trip every summer & this property might be our first repeat location.

Girls Trip

For our annual girls trip we decided to stay in Walker. Seven women,ages 65 plus, had a wonderful stay. Individual rooms with a half bath each, a large living and dining area were all great. The stove/oven and dishwasher could use some updating. Otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed.

Perfect for our needs

This home was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of space and perfect for our hunting party of 14....from 14 yrs old to 84 yrs young. The owners were aware of our group size and even set up several tables in the dining room to accommodate. A bathroom for each room! Plenty of off street parking. Enough room for a couple trailers and 5 trucks. Will definitely be back!

Great place for family reunion

This is a wonderful place for a large gathering such as our family reunion. There is a large dining area with an open kitchen and a nice size deck so you can seat many for those big family meals. Walker, MN is a nice little town and the property is a short drive/walk to the public beach so you can enjoy some lake time. Our host was thoughtful enough to provide the access code to the basement for our safety when a big thunderstorm blew into town. Overall a great weekend for our family and talk of booking again in the future.

Wonderful property

We loved staying at this property! It was clean and neat and well organized. The perfect location for a large group, and we especially appreciated the half bath in each room. The shared shower never was a problem, it actually worked out perfectly! They provided the most delicious coffee beans that they roast themselves, which to me, was a real treat! I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a group gathering space. They even have extra tables and chairs located in a fun game room! Plus many other extras. We hope to return someday in the future!

An excellent, spacious, quiet place to stay in Walker, MN

We had a group of 14 which gathered in Walker, MN to stay at this very spacious, quiet location. The house is as advertised with a lot of space and many bedrooms with various types of beds and all with their own bathroom (toilet and sink). There are two shower rooms (with a sink and toilet as well) and they worked out well for all of us and Ron and Melanie (our hosts) even provided shampoos and body wash :). The house is located a few blocks from Leech Lake so don't expect to be right on the lake, but it is close enough to see the lake from the street where the house is located (the house is up on a hill by the two water towers in Walker). Our hosts were great to work with as Melanie answered all of my questions leading up to our stay as well as some that came up after we checked in. The kitchen and dining room is very spacious and the whole house was comfortable with a large yard for us to play some outdoor games. The house was very clean and has a great game room set up in the garage with various mats and chairs available for use. There is a cool player piano in the house as well, but it is not in tune, but that was not a major factor in our stay as we all loved the home. I just mention it for those families that like to sing around a piano (as we do). Thanks again to Ron and Melanie for your hospitality and maintaining a great house and location for large groups who want to gather in Walker, MN.

We've tried to offer the things we appreciate most when we travel. We love the Walker, MN area. We live about 45 minutes away. Our daughter lives in Walker and owns a coffee shop downtown.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We're in a very quiet neighborhood. We're just a block from the K-12 school with its playgrounds and track, and 6 blocks from Hardee's and the city park on Leech Lake. The Walker Area Community Center is behind us, with an outdoor skating rink and access to trails. The bike trail is nearby. It's less than a mile to Super One for groceries, and a half mile to downtown shops and restaurants.
