Ready to disconnect and take in the spectacular million-dollar views that High Cliffs has to offer? Look no further! The perfect getaway for a romantic long weekend where you are nestled inside a gated community, surrounded by trees with stunning long-range mountain views! The home offers sleeping for 6 with great entertaining spaces. Enjoy the wrap around deck, fire pit, and the beautiful mountain views. Within the community, enjoy various hiking trails.

Located in Black Mountain (about 25 minute drive to downtown), nearby activities to High Cliffs include local stores offering unique shopping opportunities, as well as galleries, music, craft furniture, and breweries in this easily walkable historic district. Rocking chairs are located all around town so you can rest and take in the scenic view. For an easy stroll with gorgeous views of the mountains, head to Lake Tomahawk park which is only a few blocks from downtown. Here you can walk the half-mile loop trail around the lake and enjoy views of Greybeard Mountain and other surrounding peaks. Around town, you’ll find a wide variety of places to eat to fuel up between adventures. The Blue Ridge Biscuit Company, Louise’s Kitchen, and the Trailhead are all popular restaurants. My Father’s Pizza is a long-standing local favorite as well!

Accommodations: Sleeps 6 guests. The large owners retreat on the main floor has a queen-size bed, large closet, and en-suite bathroom. The half bath and laundry facilities can also be found on the main level. Lower level offers a queen-sized bed in one private room with an en-suite bathroom, a full-sized bed in another private room, and a second living room with an additional refrigerator. The ice maker does not work in this home**

Beautiful spot

Between Chimney Rock and Black Mountain. Great location. Large windows and a deck with nice furniture face the amazing view of the mountains. Kitchen is well-stocked with everything needed to cook a family meal. We absolutely loved staying here.

Pros: The views made the stay and will take your breath away. The beds were some of the most comfortable in a vacation rental. The check in process was simple and easy with the binder in the residence giving answers to any other questions. Cons: The house definitely was in need of an overdue face lift with paint, drywall, and maintenance items.

Weekend Getaway to Biltmore

The views are stunning! The beds are super comfortable! The decor was clean, up to date and not cluttered. The roads are very curvy all the way up the mountain and many of the locals we encountered were very impatient even though we were doing more than the speed limit. Just be cautious! The area is beautiful. Black Mountain is a cute little town. Hiking is excellent! Biltmore is an all day adventure close by with so much to explore! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We highly recommend this property!

Amazingly beautiful

I almost don't want to say how much I loved my stay here bc I want it all to myself! Seriously, I want to buy this cabin and retire there. The view from this cabin is breathtaking, and the decor is refreshingly modern. There's a separate living area/kitchenette downstairs, so the cabin is perfect for two or three couples, or a small family. There aren't a lot of furnishings in common areas or large bathrooms, so it wouldn't be great for a large group. But I had the place to myself and loved every minute. It's about a 20 minute drive to the nearest restaurant or grocery store, so just be prepared for that. Once you're there though, you won't want to leave.

Great Trip

We enjoyed our stay. The home was very nice and clean. Well set up with an upstairs/downstairs so that we could have time together and also time to ourselves as well. The view was wonderful and so relaxing.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Showed up to a pet friendly rental with a yard COVERED in feces. If the previous renters don't pick up their dogs waste, it shouldn't fall on us. We were contacted during our stay to tell us that the rental is not pet friendly and that they would be charging us an additional outrageous fee for our dogs. The listing clearly had the pet friendly option marked, which they later admitted, and as evidenced by the yard full of feces. The management company now says the outrageous fee is to cover the feces which they said we left all over the INSIDE of the house. LIES LIES LIES. 4 adults cleaned that house and left the entire rental in the exact shape as we found it. Towels washed, dishwasher started, spotless. Do NOT give your money to dishonest people. Do NOT work with people who lie in order to steal money. Take your business elsewhere. Views were amazing, hope the homeowners get a new management company.

Restful get-away

Beautiful, secluded house with majestic views. Although not far from amenities, the place feels like you have your own mountain retreat. It is well furnished and very comfortable. Nice management who seem interested in your experience.
