Grandma's Private Room and Bath - DISCOUNTS ON TOURS

Relax in your private room with a private bathroom in a nicely remodeled Tudor-style house in the Mendenhall Valley. This affordable accommodation is one room in a shared, five-bedroom, three-bath home. We rent each room separately. Grandma's Bedroom is on the second level of the property.

Your private room features a king bed, two nightstands, lamp, dresser, casual chair, mirror, and private bathroom.

The home boasts granite countertops, and large open spaces. It has three full bathrooms, a TV room, living room, kitchen, dining, and laundry rooms. The house is peaceful and comfortable - friendly people mostly keep to themselves. The bus stop is steps from the front door, and the house has plenty of parking. It is 2.5 miles from the airport.

Self check-in with a lockbox, so late arrival is not a problem.

Check-in is at 4 pm, and check out is at 11 am. Early arrival and late departure may be available for a fee of $50.

We Promise:
Easy check-in process! You will self-check in with a lock box. Details will be emailed to you five days prior to arrival or upon booking, if within five days. You will access the rental at your leisure after 4 pm. Early check-in may be available for a $50 fee.

Great Communication! We are known to be responsive to guests before, during, and after their stay. You can expect prompt responses to your questions.

Clean Accommodations! – Your private room should be sparkling clean. The common areas are cleaned twice per month, so we can't guarantee the status of the house upon your arrival as other people will likely be there actively using the home.

Great Mendenhall Valley Location! – It's steps from the city bus stop and two miles from the famous Mendenhall Glacier which you can get to by car or foot via a paved bike path or gravel trail. You can take the bus for one mile and walk the second mile. This is not a downtown Juneau property. Downtown Juneau is substantially more expensive than the Mendenhall Valley. This location, for the price, should not be compared to downtown. If you want to be downtown, and don't want to take a 45 minute bus ride to go 16 miles, then this space is not for you.

Accurate Description of the space! - We try to make continuous improvements when guests make suggestions and do our best to keep the changes updated and published. If we miss anything, please let us know. We will fix it. If you are missing something you were counting on, please tell us immediately, so we can try to provide it for your stay.

Great Value! – Juneau is expensive, especially during peak season. While this is a more affordable option, we understand it can still be expensive. The price fluctuates depending on the season. We have long, slow periods here in Alaska.
