This is a big house with a lot of windows, glass doors, and skylights that let an abundance of light in. Combine that, with a lighthouse theme, we thought the name Light House was appropriate! Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Play pool, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, or walk to the beach just a block away. Disclosures: Pool table is rough; good for playing around not serious players. House has character; some may not find some characteristics to their liking. Previous owners used an orange yellow paint in some areas, some sink faucet handles turn opposite from normal, some light switches are in unexpected places. The great room has high vaulted ceilings with skylights; our turnover cleanings between guests does not include cleaning these high areas as a high ladder is required. Rather, they are cleaned less frequently. Spider webs and dust in these areas may develop and become visible between these less frequent more detailed cleanings.

The property serves us for our family of 13.tonstay together. The place was walkable to long beach. It is surrounded by woods. Beautiful butterflies and other insects. Quite surroundings.

Great place!

This is a big house that can hold multiple families. It was a bit bigger than what we needed for four of us, but it was nice having so much space. Located about a block from the water in the woods, we had plenty of privacy.

Light House Vacay

The house had so much room!!! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals together. We all enjoyed playing the games! The house is a short walk from the beach.

Family fun place to stay

Everything went extremely smooth. Check in was easy. House was nice and clean. Had a lot of fun with the gaming stuff they had set up! The house had everything you could imagine and more! Owners were extremely nice and informative. Recommended good places to go and eat. Overall great experience and would definitely go again.

Relaxing weekend

It was a great place getting away from it all for the weekend. Very responsive owners, and it was a nice touch having a bottle of wine there after a long drive. Very expansive place which would be great for a large family or group of friends. Easy access to collect shark’s teeth from the beach. P.S. Our beagle also love it and appreciated his complimentary biscuits upon arrival.

Lots of space

This was a much bigger place than we needed but it was a last minute trip. The location was conveniently located within 30 minutes of many beaches and attractions. There was a private beach in walking distance and another one which was better to drive to. No restaurants to walk to but all within 20 minutes. Owners very responsive.

Nice option for a weekend stay

We recently stayed at this property and overall had a pleasant experience, though there were a few areas that could use improvement. The space itself is nicely laid out with open common areas, and the beds were very comfortable—everyone in our group agreed on that. The WiFi was reliable throughout our stay, and all the appliances worked as expected. The hosts were responsive and accommodating, especially with our early check-in request, which we really appreciated.That said, the property is in need of some maintenance. There were noticeable holes and poorly patched areas on the walls, and shortly after arriving, a cabinet panel unexpectedly fell off while we were looking for the garbage bin. Several guests also had difficulty finding outlets that worked properly, which was frustrating. Additionally, while the listing included a bathtub, it was marked "out of order" when we arrived.

Overall the space was very good.

Over all the space was very good. It's a very large space with lots of room to move around. Kitchen is a little lacking if you're hoping to cook meals for a big group. Nice walk to the water (down hill then uphill back). Communication was ok but we got a lot of information the day of our arrival. Would have been helpful to have that information sooner.

Just what we needed

This is our third stay in the area in 4 years - we love Flag Ponds and my son can’t get enough. Every year for his birthday, he requests a weekend away and this year was no different! The house is large - the bottom floor has two Queen beds and three singles set up like a dorm room. So cute and perfect for siblings and/or cousins. There is a single stall shower on that floor. Off the kitchen, sitting area and porch is another queen bed. They would use the shower downstairs. On the top floor/loft are two king beds and another bathroom. The loft is open in case families gather in the kitchen or TV area - they would need to keep voices down. The house is older and I believe for sale, but the location was excellent.

Terrific Experience from day 1.

Was our first time using VRBO so during the experience had questions, a lot of questions, owner was amazing answered every one of them. On our way down owner even let us know he was there taking care of an issue just so we were not concerned with a truck in the driveway. The house was amazing, the pictures of the outside don't even begin to give you an idea on the space inside. Everything was clean and there was a pool table, air hockey, ping pong tables all there for use on rainy days. Would recommend the home and the owner 100%. Starting to plan next year's vacation and this place is on the list already for another return.

Property needed a little work

The size of the house was as advertized however the house needed some maintenance. The fan in the upstairs bathroom was very loud and did not work well. The walls had holes. Some were patched poorly and not painted. We had ants and roaches. On the second day the host offered to have an pest control company come but we had several people with severe allergies so we turned it down

We live in this neighborhood and jumped at the opportunity to get this house so close to home. We enjoy two private community beaches with a marina situated in the middle. It’s a peaceful friendly neighborhood on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, with thick lush forest all around.
