À propos de cet hébergement
Monticello Bell Tent for an Off-Grid Glamping Adventure in Utah
Our newest and most romantic setup yet. You are nestled along with the sage and on a slight hill. This location gives the most direct and shortest walk to a gate put in to allow for nature walks to the nearby mesa. Also facing West for viewing some colorful desert sunsets.
While anywhere on the property is amazing for stargazing, our Stargazer Tent is positioned facing away from any vehicle headlights to maximize your dark sky viewing.
Glamping Canyonlands is an off-the-grid property with four 16.5 ft and one 16x24 ft canvas wall tent. This tent is furnished with a comfortable queen mattress fitted with bedding, extra blankets, seating for two, area rugs, string lights, board games, first aid kit, hand sanitizer, phone battery pack, small battery operated fans, 2 deck chairs, private firepit with grill top & a shaded hammocks and a picnic table. Communal areas are a bathroom and outdoor kitchen. French press coffee each morning. Limited WIFI to properly unplug & unwind.
Late check-ins are available. You will receive more information closer to your arrival date.

**2 GUESTS MAX. Do not bring anymore than 2 ppl. We have reasons for not allowing more than that. Please do not break this simple rule.**
Newly installed Sauna is available by appointment to all guests free of charge.
The closest tent neighbor you will have is approximately 50 yards away. We have other tents with different views. If you would like a different view, please see our other listings.
HOW TO GET HERE *Type in Glamping Canyonlands and we will come up on Maps. *We are just .5 miles or a couple minute drive as soon as you make the turn from HWY 191 onto HWY 211. *There is no parking next to your tent. Load your GPS or any other service related needs before leaving Moab or Monticello. The drive to us is rural with no service.
***More details will be sent to you a few days prior to your arrival.****
THE GROUNDS We just recently installed satellite internet. Wifi is only available around the communal spaces. Do not count on service reaching to your tent. We do not have outlets to power laptops or phones and you will be using the picnic tables as work spaces. If you would like to use the Wifi, please ask us for the password when you arrive. We only allow guests to use the Wifi so please do not share with the public.
To help move your supplies, there are 2 carts by the parking lot for your use.
We have 2 very friendly dogs, Crow and Raven. If they are around, they will greet you upon arrival. Please keep an eye out for them when coming and going with your vehicle. We have dogs but we do not allow other dogs to stay on property.
We recommend bringing your own drinking water. We haul water from town and city water is not the best drinking water.
*June-Aug. Tubes are available at no cost to use at Foy or Monticello Lake. Only 25 mins from us! Just ask us if you would like to borrow them.
Smoking only allow in parking lot.
Hush hours are 10:00pm - 6:00am.
COMMUNAL BATHROOM & KITCHEN This isn't your traditional camp bathroom. Newly renovated with fun floor tiles, modern white shower tiles, hot water and flushing toilet. We provide towels, hand soap, reusable hand towels, toilet paper, all natural shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
The communal outdoor kitchen is located behind the bathroom. You will find a sink, a grill, a stovetop, pot, pans, plates, bowls, cups, cooking utensils, cutlery, can opener, wine opener, scissors, cutting boards, measuring cup, grilling supplies, s’mores sticks, cleaning sponge, dish soap, communal cooking supplies, to-go coffee and to-go cups. There is no power to the kitchen so we do not have a refrigerator or microwave. You have a cooler at your tent available to borrow if you would like. BRING ICE! Attached to the kitchen are shaded picnic tables. *The grocery store in Monticello (Blue Mountain Foods) is closed on Sundays.
TENT INFORMATION There is no insulation inside the tents so whatever the temperature is outside, it will be inside the tent as well.
Desert nights are chilly. Beanies, warm socks and slippers are some of the things we suggest to keep you comfortable.
Propane heaters are in the tents. These won’t heat the space like in a home but just enough to take the chill out. Bring the 1lb green propane tanks if you would like to use this. We also keep a supply on hand if you would like to purchase them here.
What to expect in the tents: -Bed with sheets, pillows and duck down comforter -Extra blankets -Lounge chairs for two -Area rugs -LED string lights -LED candles -Lantern -Board Games -Phone Battery Pack -Small Rechargeable Fan (June-August only) -First Aid Kit -Hand Sanitizer -Combination Lock -Local Guide Book -Guest Book -Private Shaded Hammocks -Private Fire pit -Private Shaded Picnic Table -Cooler. BRING ICE.
-You have your own private fire pit. We provide grilling utensils and s’mores sticks. We DO NOT provide lighters. -Firewood is for sale here for $6.00 a bundle and $1.00 for fire starter. -If there is a county fire ban, we will have to adhere to it & no fires will be allowed.
Fresh brewed locally sourced beans French press coffee for 2 is left outside your tent every morning around 7am. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are provided anytime of the day in the kitchen.
**NEW**Breakfast Box for additional purchase if requested. $12 per box and must be requested the day before. There will be a chalkboard by the office which you will mark if you want breakfast and free coffee delivery. Will be delivered to you along with coffee around 7am. Bring a telescope if you have one as the night sky is one of the best features of this property! No obstructions so you will have clear views of the brilliant sky. We recommend downloading The SkyView Lite app and The Moon app. This will help you determine a full night of stars or the moon cycle (weather permitting).
Please check out our visitor information on our website for packing lists & more details of what to expect while you stay here.
There usually is some highway noise from HWY 191 but around 11pm it slows down.

Friendly and patient
I absolutely loved our stay at this property. We had a little hiccup when we first got there but Keisha was so kind and genuinely wiling to help that it didn’t even made the issue, an issue. I highly recommend this property.

À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Keshia Joot
We are outdoor enthusiasts; love hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, paddling, mountain biking, snowboarding, etc. As we've gotten older, our pace has admittedly slowed down, but we still get out there whenever we can. We also love food, travel, music, life, our fur babies and a lot of other things.
We've been married since 2012 and best friends since 2006. In fact, it was our honeymoon in the Canyonlands National Park that inspired us to open Glamping Canyonlands, our eco-friendly, off-grid campground. If there is anything specific you'd like to know about us, just ask!
We hope we get the opportunity to meet you in the near future!
Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
We choose this property because we cannot think of a more perfect place to live. We have traveled inside the United States and outside. If you ask me now, where is my ideal location, I would say Southern Utah. Ask me in 20 years, I would say the same. This is why I moved here.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Stargazing! Most nights you will see the Milky Way without trying. We are close to Canyonlands National Park, The Needles District. French Press coffee served to your tent door every morning around sunrise!
