Laguna Beach is one of California’s most beloved destinations. The endless dreamy beaches, magnificent sunsets and so many things to explore in the area! This cozy space for 2 guests is located in a resort beachfront property, only a minute walk from the beach, and offers great resort amenities: 2 pools, hot tub, game room, gym, onsite restaurant, and bar. To explore the area there is a free trolley to get you around the town.

PLEASE NOTE:
- The resort fee is not included in the daily rate. A mandatory resort fee of $32.33/day/space will be collected upon arrival.
- The listings are distributed and managed by RoomPicks.

Felt Strongly Deceived - our first bad review on VRBO
This is our first bad VRBO review. Due to the 1500 character limit I’ll focus more on the recourse options than the problem. The VRBO listing is actually for the Pacific Edge Hotel (appears to be rated fairly poorly online) although they didn’t note the hotel name in the listing at the time of this review. Pacific Edge Hotel and Roompicks are going to have a class-action lawsuit if they keep up the practices we encountered below… we ran into too many people with similar complaints when we stayed here. It felt like a solid bait and switch with a non refundable booking and neither the hotel staff and manager, nor their rep, Roompicks, provided resolution. If anyone else has similar problems, I encourage you to act on any or all of the following remedies: 1) contact the California Attorney General Rob Bonta’s office (they allow online submissions). 2) contact the non-profit consumer protection group Travelers United (they seem to have great legal clout even over much lesser issues). 3) dispute with your credit card company 4) file a complaint with the California Department of Consumer Affairs. We will be doing the same. Feel free to note California’s three state laws that apply most clearly here: False Advertising Law (FAL), Unfair Competition Law (UCL), and Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA). Based on legal advice, we firmly believe they violated all 3 laws with us. Also note: no elevator access at our building, no free parking within blocks, only valet.

If I could only rate the staff at this location, it would be a five-star review. We had many things wrong with our room, air conditioner/heater stopped working, hairdryer didn't work and sink wouldn't drain. The front office sent the building engineer immediately and he was very responsive and great. Our biggest complaint is the building is very old, you can hear what everyone is doing around you all night long and our room was on the ground level facing the alley where everyone who came to the hotel and/or restaurant would drive through to get to valet. It's a very busy spot and there is a grate in the alley which is very loud when driven over. Oceanside really means near the ocean not the ocean is visible. It is a short walk to the beach, which was nice, but having the view that we did was a bummer. I wish there would have been more pictures so we could have made a more informed decision before booking.
