Purchased by new owners in January 2025, the property has received numerous improvements to provide an even better stay for our guests so please note that prior reviews do not reflect the current guest experience.. It has it all for your fun family beach vacation in Sandbridge! With just a few steps, you'll have your toes in the water and chairs in the sand! This beach beauty offers beautiful wide wrap-around decks for outside family fun, a quiet cup of coffee to watch the sunrise over the beach or a family dinner on the spacious screened porch. Enjoy a dip in the big sparkling in-ground pool or just kick back at the poolside cabana bar, with your favorite frosty beverage, and let the kids play. With five big bedrooms and three full baths, Diggity Dunes is also loaded with amenities like a foosball table, tetherball, and horseshoes, there's fun for everyone to be had. The bright open floor plan with beautiful beach and ocean views offers plenty of space for up to 14 to spread out and relax to make the most of your beach getaway. Gather around the family room and enjoy your favorite TV shows on the large TV, from the extra large, comfy, sectional sofa. Or hide away for some peace and quiet from one of the multiple bedrooms. Free WiFi is included, so don't forget your gadgets.

Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Property is getting dated. The best feature is the large pool, well maintained. Property manager was very attentive with getting propane for the grill. We'd come back to this property in the future.

Clean and seconds from the beach

The house has a great layout especially if you have two families splitting the house as a friend/family trip. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to navigate and the beach access was just steps away from the house. The beach also was fairly quiet and way less overwhelming than Virginia Beach proper.

Excellent beach house

The home was inviting and very clean upon our arrival. All checkin instructions were done in steps via email and text so no additional stops needed. Housekeeping checked in on us the first night to be sure we had what we needed. Pool was wonderful and very clean. Very short walk to the beach.

Wonderful week in Sandbridge

The house was a well equipped with a larger than average, very private pool. The beach was very accessible and it is in nice neighborhood (walking, biking are easy).

Family of 13 at the beach

As an elder host of my summer with my children and grandchildren (ages 17 months to 25) this was an ideal location and house set up. The beach entrance was virtually across the street. 4 bedrooms were on the same floor with kitchen, dining and living space. Lots of games were played at the large dining table. The private pool was a great bonus. More attention could be taken with upkeep.

Better than expected

We had some reservations due to earlier reviews, however it appears that many of the issues have been resolved. The house was fine, plenty of room for the 9 of us. All was clean and ready for us on arrival. The AC was challenged with high 90 temps outside but was generally able to keep the temp comfortable. The pool was wonderful and in very good repair. Much work had been done with exterior stairs and spaces. The outside landscaping needs work and much of the outside decking should be replaced. It appears that these repairs are probably planned. Short walk to a very nice and not crowded beach.

Pretty good

Well decorated and stocked, but needs a deep clean. Several light bulbs out in living room. Pool was cleaned during our first morning there, as well as weed-eating. Lots of junk under couches, and vacuum used to touch up was very filthy. Although initial serviceman came out the morning after broken dishwasher was reported (Saturday), it was not repairable at the time, and technician was supposed to come check out the following business day (Monday), which did not happen. Not fun hand washing all dishes on vacation, and spending money on paper products to minimize dishwashing. We’ll return because the location/price/house set-up is good for our group, but expectations are not high.

Diggity Dunes

Arrived at 3:45pm on 7-9-22 for check in at 4pm. Pool green. Full of algae. Pool maintenance staff that didn’t normally service Diggity dunes pool was called in as an emergency. They were present at arrival. According to this professional, this pool had been poorly serviced in the past and didn’t appear to even be opened yet this season. A different story was given by Vacasa and I was hung up on when I questioned further. He originally said it would have to be shocked several times (he did so Saturday 7-9-22) and he felt we would not get to use until Wednesday. However they sent the maintenance man from Vacasa. He shocked it again. Then the original pool man serviced it again Sunday and again Monday. They told us even though it was shocked three times in less then 48 hours, we could use Monday after 11:30 am. The pool was no longer green but was very cloudy with large debris and you could feel grit on the bottom, steps, etc of the pool. Two fair complexion children both had itchy skin after pool use until bathed/showered several times. By Tuesday, there was a new pool person, different company, that again treated the pool and came and cleaned it Wednesday. Wednesday it was clear and clean. The pool was shocked by three different entities a total of four times from Saturday to Wednesday. They did refund some money for the loss of the pool amenity was the refund was minimal. That refund occurred only after talking to the supervisor of the supervisor. I talked with the office staff with little assistance. Then a second person who was very professional and pleasant. The third person was the supervisor of the first two, who hung up on me and who had inconsistent stories about what was going on with the pool then the first two employees. She hung up because I asked who the owner of the home was. When she told me she couldn’t give that to me I told her that was ok, there were legal avenues for me to ascertain that information. She was argumentative, talking over me and agitated, like she was being inconvenienced having to speak with me. This persons supervisor refunded the nominal amount. She also said she would look into the other employees behaviors. Additionally the outside was severally neglected. Dirty rags and garbage around pool and deck area. Red biting ants made it impossible to sit outside the deck area of the pool until my husband sprayed the area with ant spray. Pool noodles, boogie boards and float device behind the bar area, moldy and slimy. Liquor found and left in the refrigerator at the bar pool. Pool lights not working. Bulbs burned out. Empty light sockets. Horse shoe pit had little sand, more weeds and again no functioning light. The garbage disposal was broken, no resolution while there. They were informed of this verbally and in writing. Ants became very evident in the house itself when we made any food and poured beverages. Couch uncomfortable and mattresses hard. Children’s bedroom on the first floor right at door entrance and easy access. Refrigerator had cardboard pieces stuck to the shelves and appeared to have red liquid spilled in between the glass partitions. Positives: Close to the beach and other activities. Nice biking paths. House itself was spacious, clean for most part, amply bedding and bathing towels. Well stocked kitchen.

Light & spacious vacation home

I rented this property for a family weekend and to celebrate my Bday. There currently is an ocean view but houses are going up across the street & soon will block the view. Dishwasher and ice maker were broken. Otherwise house was nice!
