The cantilever deck provides stunning views of the mountains and river, just 30 steps away. Bring your fishing gear or dock your boat/jet ski at the private dock. Love paddling? Launch your kayaks, canoes, tubes, or paddleboards right in front of the house! Unwind around the fire pit with seating for six, perfect for roasting marshmallows while soaking in the mountain and river views. Rose River Cottage is a gem! The outdoor spaces are so nice and the fenced in yard was a treat for our pup that you don’t find at many properties. Beth is a great host; she promptly responded to all questions and really wanted to be sure we had all the comforts and amenities we wanted or needed. We visited the area with the purpose of going to New River Gorge National Park. The drive there from the cottage was beautiful not too far with several nice waterfalls along the way. Train lovers will also love this cottage as many of them passed on the other side of the River.

This is a must stay property. We loved celebrating our anniversary here. So peaceful and so accommodating. The host was in contact with me to make sure we arrived safely and if there was anything we needed. We have rented cabins in the past and I have to say this is at the top of our list. Highly highly recommend. Everything you need is there.

It is a wonderful lace to stay. They have got everything you didn’t know you needed. The place is beautiful. The beds are really comfortable. The outside area is so nice and relaxing. I’d like to stay for Christmas.

Perfect waterfront spot

We loved the quaint neighborhood and beautiful riverfront views. The house had everything we needed and we were able to go out for adventures during the day and come back to relax, fish or make dinner for the evening. Great spot! We’ll be back!

We had an amazing stay at the River Cottage. Definitely will come back again. It was the best place in Boomer West Va to vacation. The Falls were beautiful. So many things to do and not far to go to. Try out The New Place for the best fried bologna sandwich. From Kayaking, ATV, to Ziplines. Tudor’s Biscuit World is Yummy too.The Historic Ferris Inn has great food too as well as a kayak lunch area down the road to kayak at the falls. Beth was an amazing host and always available if you needed anything.

Lovely Rose Cottage on the River

Fantastic view

The house was stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Most of our time at the house was spent out on the porch taking in the view or casting a line into the river from the dock below. The closed in fence was convenient for our pup. We would absolutely stay in the house again, and Beth was super responsive with all communication and made sure we had everything we needed.

This is an awesome cottage. Very clean and a good location. The host has thought of everything.

We had a great time. We had smores at the firepit and spent the days at the national park. The drive to and from is absolutely beautiful. We will definitely go back!

Great place to unwind and relax. This place kept Very well with inviting decorations, amenities and scenery from the porch and deck is incredible . A single bathroom is bit of a challenge. Over all great place. We had a great time.

Great getaway

Beth is awesome!! This property is a great out-of-the-way jumping off point for New River Gorge and state parks in the area. Great fishing dock down by the water too.

Wonderful, quiet get away

This property is wonderful. Beautiful outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy. The inside was spotless and very welcoming. Lots of amenities. It was only a 30 minute drive to Charleston. We enjoyed our time here.

great place for a boater

We had an exception time and enjoyed our stay. Brought our boat and traveled via the Kanawha River 30 miles to Charlestown as a day trip. Also enjoyed skiing every morning on morning glass. Great view of the river and area attractions.

Rose River Cottage was my late mother's primary residence. She loved to sit on the porch and admire the beautiful river and majestic mountains. I couldn't bare to sell it after she passed in 2020, so I am sharing it with friends like you! We keep a weekend open every month to gather as a family and enjoy the space. I think you will feel the sense of family when you visit. We hope to host you soon!

We are uniquely situated right between the state's capitol and the country's newest National Park. Not only that, but we are directly on the Kanawha River. The house is in a tight knit, sleepy residential area, but it faces the river so you feel more secluded than you actually are.
