The BearFoot cabin is a cozy cabin located in a county setting in northeast Texas. Located just 10 minutes from interstate 30 in New Boston and only 20 minutes from Texarkana. This cabin has 1 bedroom and 1 bath with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. If your looking for a peaceful getaway or just traveling through this cabin is sure to meet your needs. It also has a small loft with a twin futon mattress for extra sleeping space. Outside is a sitting area with a fire pit and charcoal grill.

The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and allowed us to easily travel with our dog. The horses and calf behind the cabin were friendly and fun to watch, as well. Thanks for a good night!

Quiet, country getaway

You will love this little cabin. Despite its size it is well appointed and adorable. It has a great little kitchen. Its location is close to New Boston. Close to Lake Wright Patman for outdoor enjoyment. Close to a really nice little Brookshires. If you enjoy cooking and staying in for meals.

Absolutely loved this cabin! It was clean and so cute! It is small but had everything I needed. It was also in a peaceful location. I would highly recommend it if it fits your needs and will definitely stay again if I am in the area.

Perfect for a small party with pet. And you get to park right in front with only a couple of steps. So anyone can access the interior.

I loved that when I walked they had a Christmas tree. There attention to detail was quite evident. Would definitely go back if we Needed to go back to that area Highly recommended 5+ stars

The number one thing on my list when I stay somewhere, is to have good AC. I was extremely pleased to walk in to find two AC units in the cabin. In the main room and Yes one in the bedroom!!!! Very clean and welcoming.

Super cute cabin in rustic setting

Stayed here one night with my dog on way home from winter stay in S. TX. Cute, newer place with nice appointments, comfortable bed, minimal stairs and convenient parking right out front. Safe neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again when I'm traveling by myself with dog. The one thing you should consider is to bring your food/drink supplies with you when you arrive. The nearest town (Maud) is a circuitous 7 mile drive on narrow country roads that are not well lit at night.

Perfect Getaway

It was far enough away from the city, but not too far that we couldn’t get to any where we wanted to go in a short period of time. The town itself was cute. Property was exactly as describes. Great communication. Loved the neighborhood cat and the neighbor puppy came over to say hi the first morning, but the second morning wouldn’t have anything to do with me. Then I saw the owner approach so that I could hang out with his puppy for awhile, we ended up chatting with the neighbor for 20 minutes.

Tiny home vs old fat folks

This tiny cabin was exactly as described, in a country setting with horses right behind the house. The pictures do it justice. It’s perfect for most people, but not for old fat folks like ourselves. We had trouble getting up from the low fluffy couch, barely fit in the shower, and could have easily won America’s Funniest Videos trying to get in and out of the queen bed that was pushed up against the wall! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the beautiful sunset. Our dog had a great time!

Off the beaten path

It was a very well decorated cabin. Even had a lighted Christmas tree inside when we walked in. Cleaning needs to be addressed if they want a higher rating. Very dusty everywhere. Bedroom floor had to be swept. Bedroom sheets were brown & hair on them. Had to ask for more wash cloths as we only had 4 for two adults for a 5 might stay. The road at night is dark so be sure to use your speedometer to know where to turn. Other than that accommodations were cozy & co

Check-out

Was trying to get the house in the exact way we found it, or better (no ants). Woman owner was in a rude rush to see what we "had torn up" what rhe "shape of the place was in" . She was nice enough to say she didnt know forsure. Very poor communication or host.

Had neighbors complaining about y’all doing drugs on the porch so yeah we were a little concerned and check out time is 11am. We got there at 11:30 and y’all hadn’t even began to get ready to leave so don’t act like we’re the ones being rude.
