We had an awesome time. The location of the house is perfect. I liked the amentities too. The lanai is huge and a great place to barbeque and watch the waves, the Friday night fireworks and the sunset. Two thumbs up!

Fantastic

We have a good time in this property. Very clean and organized. The house is relatively close to Waikiki. Having rented the van from the owners was very practical and beneficial. Only thing, getting out of the parking place will test your driving skills.

Great home away from home!

Glen & Lara are the most responsive owners that we have ever worked with! So refreshing to receive prompt responses to inquiries, regardless of the time. This home was perfect for our family of 10. We would heartily recommend this to anyone who wants to be away from the hubbub of down town, but still have easy access to the beaches, restaurants and shopping. Quyana cakneq for your hospitality. Ocean View Review

Lara & Glen - What a lovely place you shared with us during our recent stay in Honolulu. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We were busy during the day, but were able to come home after a busy day and relax on the lanai with views of the city, Diamond Head Crater and Waikiki Beach. The bedrooms and baths worked out fine for the three couples. Thank you for the lovely gift basket and little extras that made our stay quite enjoyable. We also appreciated the local info and maps that were available to us, as our days were filled with golf outings, Pearl Harbor and Punch Bowl Cemetery visits, Aloha Stadium Flea Market, Hole-in-the-Wall Food Tour and drive to the North Shore (shopping, eating from a Shrimp Truck and watching the surfers.) We certainly will recommend this location to others. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

Awesome Oahu

We found this property to be just as described - perfect for our week exploring Oahu. We've stayed in many vacation rentals before, and this one had everything we could even imagine needing. We loved the wonderful view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the covered lanai, the welcome basket and the supply of beach equipment, and appreciated that the kitchen and bathrooms were supplied with all the amenities. Glen and Lara live right on site and are very prompt to answer questions and requests. A bonus? Having a laptop and printer in the unit enabled us to check in and print our boarding passes which saved us alot of time when we (reluctantly) had to make our way to the airport for our flights home! We'll definitely consider this property on a return visit and would recommend it to friends with no hesitation.

An absolutely fabulous view and clean comfortable.

Best of all, there were no unfavorable surprises at this home? Each of our bedrooms had comfortable beds and plenty of extra blankets. The air-conditioning worked well and the kitchen was well stocked. Our hosts left a beautiful basket of goodies and wine for us to enjoy on our arrival, as well as plenty of local tourism activity guides for us to make our planning simpler. I particularly liked that one bedroom was downstairs and very separate from the two upstairs bedrooms, allowing for privacy. It was great that we could easily cook some meals to save on restaurant charges for every meal! A directions guide was printed out to nearly every attraction one could think of from google maps. The view as even more outstanding than the pictures show. I absolutely recommend this place to others, whether they are a family or friend group!

Great Find!!!!!

This was a great find for my family and I in Hawaii. After exhausting hours looking for multiple hotel rooms I recalled renting a home and redirected my search. Of all that were available Ocean View seemed the best fit for size, location and value. After staying there those items were confirmed. The views are unbelievable and exactly like the pictures. The house was "hospital clean" with every convenience provided. 3 complete bedrooms,3 full baths, fully stocked kitchen, beach gear, snorkeling equipment, wi-fi, daily paper, washer/dryer, etc. I can't imagine the savings those items alone provided. PLUS!!! You are minutes from any destination. I would definitely stay there again over any hotel.

Worth the Long Search and the Wait!

I spent at least 20 hours looking through locations for June 27th-July 6th and came upon this one literally at the last hour before my decision was made. After speaking with Lara, I knew we were getting a great deal. As beautiful as the pictures are, they do not fully capture the beauty of the area! Glen and Lara welcomed us with a well thought out gift basket; it definitely didn't look thrown together. Condiments were stocked in the fridge as were toiletries which cut down on the cost of buying little things that add up quickly. The snorkeling equipment and underwater camera were a nice touch as well. The view from the lanai is one of the best views from a home I've ever seen. We got to watch TWO fireworks shows on the 4th of July which ran for a nearly uninterrupted 50 minutes total! Wii Fit, Mario Galaxy 2, and Mario Kart Wii were played while waiting for others to get ready. The 3/3 set up was perfect for our party of 9 and could've easily taken on one or two more people. Don't overpack as there is a washer and dryer that we definitely made use of so it cut down on the amount of check in we had at the airport. It also helped me by not doing any laundry when I got home. The house is on a steep hill which I didn't mind driving up at all, but the driveway to the back is somewhat narrow so you just have to watch out for hitting sides. My uncle, however, easily backed an F-250 all the way up so you should be fine. My friends and family have all spoken very highly of this place and we hope to stay there again the next time we're in Hawaii...hopefully that's not too far from now! Glen and Lara also let us keep our luggage well beyond the check out time as we didn't fly back to California until 1030 that evening and visited North Shore that day. Very hospitable and friendly family. You can spend the entire day on the lanai. No lie!

Great location for adventures

We had three couples staying at the rental to run the Honolulu Marathon and then have fun around the island. While I can't recommend the organization of the marathon, the house was excellent. It shows that they care about the place and work to maintain it. In fact Glen had found a problem as he was setting up for our arrival and had his handyman come by to fix it, after notifying us he would be there. Glen was great about communicating and the house was well stocked with the basics. He got us fresh beach towels and made sure we had access to all the water sports items we might need. One of the couples has dietary restrictions, so Glen let us send a box of their food ahead of time and had it waiting for us in the rental. Very convenient. This rental is behind his other rental, but other than the long narrow driveway, we didn't notice the other house or the guests there. Very quiet neighborhood, but with a great view and not too far to groceries or downtown. We spent a lot of time out on the large porch enjoying the view and using the grill out there. The washer/dryer outside by the front entrance was very handy and we used it several times. One of my friends fell in love with the ukelele that was in the house and we took it with us as we toured the island, our own personal musician. He purchased a ukelele once we got back home. The house has a lot of nice touches, and we all agreed it was a great choice to hit all of our island activities. We also rented Glen's Honda minivan included with this rental, and it was perfect for driving around the island. It ran well and had a few scratches from previous renters that he was sure to document so that we would not be blamed for them. Plenty of room for six adults and our associated baggage. I have been raving about this stay since I got back and recommend it to anyone who is going to Oahu who wants to be near Honolulu, but not stuck in the touristy areas.

Great stay!

Glen and his home is amazing! They were so kind and were quick to respond to all our questions. We were a family of 9 (including a toddler) and we found the amenities more than enough. There were lots of baby things available that we barely had to bring any of ours! The balcony has a great view and we even caught a glimpse of the fireworks on Fridays. Thanks again Glen and family!

It was great to help out Carrie and family. It's also nice to help with caring for the little ones (we added blackout curtains to one of the lower bedrooms so their little one can sleep uninterrupted). We also provide all the kid gear you can imagine (full wood baby crib with mattress, pack n plays, Johnny Jump ups, high chars, strollers, floaters, etc). We specialize in multi generational families - and we here to help! Carrie's group comes highly recommended from us - please come back soon!

A perfect spot in paradise!

Situated in the St. Louis neighborhood overlooking Honolulu from Diamond Head across the entire city, this home is a destination in itself on Oahu. In minutes you can be on Waikiki Beach or hiking through the jungle to a secluded waterfall. It was the perfect place for our family and friends to relax and plan the next day's adventure. We found the home and its amenities to meet or exceed the online descriptions. The covered outdoor space and views were captivating. We look forward to our next trip here! While not luxurious, it was perfect for our family of five adults!

It truly was a home away from home with everything we could possibly need all provided! Even the mini van! That was a great bonus! We loved having our meals on outdoor covered deck relishing the gorgeous view! Glen and Lara are the perfect hosts! Very responsive from beginning to end! Oh! Washer and dryer were also a great help!

Awesome views and very comfortable settings

Glen and Lara (hosts) were very nice and very friendly. They are the "hostess with the mostess" Property was well maintained, clean, and very spacious...couldn't ask for a more better place to stay in Oahu. Definitely recommend it to any family visiting. Also, we will definitely look at staying there for our future stays.
