À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Pam, Charlie, and George
I was born in Maryland and moved to Virginia where I attended college and received my B.A. I worked for several universities and for a Congressman on Capitol Hill before moving to the farm. I met George, my husband, in college. Several years later I came to see him where he was living on the farm. The farm seemed so peaceful and very tranquil and its natural beauty with the rolling hills and river overwhelmed me. Almost 40 years later I am still on this wonderful farm, full of animals, a pond, river view and the majestic 100 year old oak trees that surround our home. I enjoy gardening, rescuing dogs and cats that live here and seeing the wildlife that is abundant. I enjoy meeting our wonderful guests and hoping they enjoy the scenic views and natural beauty as much as I do.
Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
This farm has been in my husband’s family for several generations. He inherited this wonderful farm and we hope to pass it on to the next generation. The 106 acres is bordered by the scenic James River. Our river entrance enables people to wade, tube, kayak, and fish in the river. We have over a mile of roads and trails for you to walk for drive. The property has a pond with a dock where you can sit and enjoy bird watching, seeing Mountain Laurel and wildlife. The panoramic view from the guest house is beautiful and our loving animals are available to pet and enjoy.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Once you are here on the farm, you feel so relaxed and it seems like you are miles away in the country, but the Town of Scottsville is less than 5 minutes away offering multiple restaurants to dine, a local brewery, small shops to shop, and a grocery store. Some wineries are only 10 to 20 minutes away. Charlottesville is 25 minutes.
