Galveston condo

It was perfect! Right across from the beach. Easy to eat-in and enjoy the beach. Well furnished and clean. I will definitely stay here again!

Very nice and clean unit!

This was a nice and cozy unit with everything you would need. Close to lots of fun and beach access. It was lovey having two pool, two heated pools I must add. Will be back sometime.

Great place to stay......but.....

There was an overwhelming smell of mold that slammed us in the face when we walked in the door. We got used to it after being in there for 10 min but every time we left and came back it was a fresh experience. It will honestly be a coin toss if we stay there again. The location was great but the mold.....ugh

Beach stay 2019

My family and I visit Galveston every summer and we have done so for 25+ years. We all enjoyed a wonderful time and the stay in the Casa Delmar beach condos has become kind of a regular place for us to stay. The visits are always enjoyable. The only concern this year was that there was a terrible smell inside the condo as you opened the door and walked in. You could become nose blind to it after being inside for a while but we sprayed lots of Febreeze while we were staying there but it did not ruin our good time!!!

Great beach view

The view is the best part of your stay. The property didn't seem very clean. It is a private condo and not at the fault of casa del mar. Casa del mar is wonderful as a whole but we were not at all impressed with this particular private condo. It is very small but adaquate for a short stay. There is literally minimal supplies. We stay in galveston several times a year and are a vrbo owners ourselves. We will definitely go a different route on our next stay.

Okay, but needs improvement

The view was great and being on the first floor was nice. However, the extra pillows had black mold on them, the bathroom tub didn't drain correctly and was continually backed up, and the refrigerator didn't cool properly. We called about the refrigerator our first day and were told that maintenance would be there the next morning. Maintenance never came nor did anyone call us to confirm that they came. Hooks are needed to hang things to dry since we can't hang things on the balcony. And there were no "extras." I've stayed at other units there where they have board games, DVDs, beach toys for the kids, beach towels, extra toiletries, etc. This was basic, and no frills. While that's not a huge deal, it does add a nice touch to include some extras. Because of the dirty pillows, clogged tub, and broken refrigerator, we won't be returning to this unit in the future.

Perfect family get-away!

Vacationers: Two adults, 8y.o. & almost 3 y.o. Stay length: 4 nights Pros: after coming for decades, this is by far the nicest condo we have stayed in across multiple hotels. Decor and finishing were fun without being tacky, and the view was great! I was worried we wouldn’t have much of a view being on the first floor, but it was so lovely. Cons: the plastic cover on the bunk bed mattresses was a little hot, the kitchen towel had not been washed and had a real “ocean” aroma. So, we didn’t use the comforter and used paper towels in the kitchen. No big deal.

Great location

We stayed here for our family vacay and the place looked exactly like the pictures. Also, Its located right across from the beach and a fishing pier. We didnt have to walk far for fun in the sun! 10 out of 10!

Lone Star Rally

We were in for the rally and the room gave us a great view of all the motorcycle traffic from our balcony. Room was nice, we had a great time and will be back.

LOVED THIS CONDO

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS CONDO THE LOCATION WAS GREAT YOU COULD WALK TO SEVERAL EATING PLACES THE BALCONY FACED THE OCEAN I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW CLEAN THE CONDO WAS I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN IT WAS ALSO SUPPLIED WITH EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED IT WAS ME AND MY SPOUSE BUT THERE WAS A SET OF BUNK BEDS SO MY KIDS COULD EASLIY HAVE STAYED AS WELL

Nice location. Won't stay in this one again though

Nice location. Bed very comfortable - so must have fixed. Yes it is musty but this happens when living near the beach. Bring air freshener spray. A lot of things wrong/missing (no scrubber in the kitchen to clean pots/pans, no bathtub stopper, dull knives, sliding door kept coming off track, no hangers). The TV in the master bedroom didn't show all the channels. We called and reported it. The biggest deal to us was that the next day (with no phone call or anything) a maintenance worker knocked and ultimately opened our door and woke us up from a nap (we got up at 5am that morning and the morning before to go fishing all morning) to fix it. This is simply not acceptable! Did I mention no phone call or any contact before this? Good news is that he fixed the issue. Bad news is if we had received a phone call I would have mentioned the other things that needed fixed. Another piece of good news is that there are TONS of pillows available and got 1 free pass to Schlitterbahn. I personally could not begin to imagine where 6 people would be when not sleeping. Very small. Was acceptable size for the 2 of us.

Very small and needs to be exterminated.

This condo could not hold 6 people. We had issues with just the 4 of us. When we woke up each morning, there were waterbugs and cockroaches. The drawers in the master bedroom were not cleaned out. Bed was super hard.
