I rarely leave negative reviews, but this property and host earned this one. Before our stay, I respectfully asked if a few 70 year-old family members in town for a wedding could stop by for a couple of hours to catch up—no party, food, alcohol, or games. Instead of answering, the host immediately sent me a 160 invoice. When I asked for an itemized explanation, she refused and replied, "This is not the idle spot for catch-up chats." That set the tone. The listing advertises up to 10 guests but charges 20 per person after four. The host's communication was consistently rude and dismissive. The home wasn't much better. There were long hairs in the bathroom and tub (definitely not mine, I have locs), dirty bathroom corners, and a towel rack that fell off the wall. Instead of a welcome guide, the house was covered in tacky taped-up instruction notes. Like being scolded, not welcomed! The biggest issue was losing water early on day two. No showers, sinks, or toilets while we were getting ready for a wedding. I had to shower at my gym, while others relied on bottled water. The host offered another apartment 30 minutes away, which wasn't feasible, given the days events, then refused any refund and focused on how inconvenient the situation was for her. This stay perfectly represents why people are avoiding short-term rentals: poor communication, questionable cleanliness, maintenance issues, hidden fees, and zero customer service. I would absolutely not stay here again.
