stay in Djerba
spacious home with a large kitchen and living room 3 bedrooms and large bathroom next to the rooms, toilet downstairs, private backyard with table and chairs so far so good ..but .rather far about 30min from the airport by taxi ...has a little grocery store 5 min walk away but with bare minimum...we had to take the taxi for 10min to go a bigger store like Carrefour ,communication will be very difficult if you do not have internet you need to purchase a sim card at the airport there was no wifi in the house and the TV was not working ,,the host called to try to fix it without success,
there was also no warning from the host about a possible cut of the water system meaning you can wake up and you have no more water from the tap ! we also did not have any gas coming out from the kitchen stove when we first arrived and we had to make a fuss to get it fixed ...the manager on duty was not willing to take any comment ...there was also no towels and no bed sheet which was very deceiving as it was shown on the advertising photos .thankfully the air condtioning was working well.
the outside locks were also very rusty and we had a really a hard time to lock and unlock the doors which i mentioned to the host ,make sure it is fixed it is scary to be locked inside or outside so if you are willing to put up with all this you will enjoy your stay .you can go to the end of the driveway and hail a taxi from there it is usually about 10 dinars to go around the beach is behind house 10min walk
