We welcome you to Frenchy's Forest Lodge. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, and relaxing getaway- look no further.

We are honored to open our home to you and are confident you will love it just as much as we do. We have put a lot of thought and effort into our cabin ensuring it will be the perfect destination. Our property is uniquely private surrounded by woods perfect for bird watching, sightseeing, stargazing under a bonfire, turkey hunting, and more! A true 'Cabin in the Woods' experience, but you'll do anything but "rough it" here with our pristinely clean home, including all of the modern amenities.

Our Lodge is big enough to sleep 11 yet cozy enough to be enjoyed by 2. We have taken special measures to provide adequate space for everyone with large closets, spacious bedrooms, a large, finished basement, dining for everybody, and a beautiful open concept layout that allows everyone to feel at ease. Our spacious kitchen is fully stocked with items ranging from a pizza cutter to a crockpot, and everything in between; it's100% ready for family gatherings.

Frenchy's Forest Lodge is located 10 minutes from Downtown Escanaba, 3 minutes from the Rusty Rail Bar & Grill, 50 miles from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, day trips to endless waterfalls, minutes from kayaking, hiking, ATV/Snowmobile trails, and more.

This is truly a place to enjoy all four seasons.

The cabin was everything and more than we could have wanted. It was very peaceful and secluded. A perfect retreat area for relaxing. The cabin was stocked with many additional items to make it welcoming and comfortable. Communication with the host was top notch. We had a great time and will definitely return.

The Lodge was even better than expected. Roomy and well stocked. Enjoyed walking in the woods and using the firepit. My dog enjoyed the freedom to run after his ball without being on a leash...while we were outside with her. Saw lots of deer. We played games at night and watched TV in the entertainment room. Dave and Mary were gracious hosts and even gave us places to see.If I have to add a suggestion to improve this fantastic place it would be to add a handrail in the bathtub...especially the main floor considering that is probably where the elderly (like me) would be staying. EVERYONE loved the Lodge.

We had an absolutely incredible time here during the lead up to our wedding in September 2025. There was plenty of space for family that was staying with us, and the cabin was a perfect place to destress and connect with everyone before the big day. So many treasured memories.

We had such a wonderful time at this cabins. The cabin was clean and had everything that we needed. The owners were kind and super helpful. The cabin was in a secluded area so we could walk around and enjoy the fall colors with no worries of neighbors. I would recommend bringing your own water to drink if you are not comfortable drinking from a well.

The host was amazing! We got 12 inches of snow the night that we arrived. And as soon as he could get there he plowed us out! Come to find out he's a family friend:-) Dave and Mary are amazing hosts, the cabin is breathtaking! it's so beautiful! we so enjoyed it, every room was decorated beautifully and pots pans, I lutensils napkins tons of plates and glasses everything that you need! Fantastic Family Vacation

This is a lovely, spacious, warm home with everything we needed. The property is secluded and yet easily accessible. We hiked, had campfires, watched meteor showers, and had a fabulous time. Highly recommend!

Wonderful winter weekend

Our second time visiting this cabin left us just as impressed as the first. There was plenty of room for our families of 4 and 5, with our pooch. Kids and adults alike greatly enjoyed playing outside in the woods.

What a great place to get away from it all and just relax. Great place with plenty of room and wildlife outside. Only recommendation to other bookings, follow the directions to the place from the host, do not use GPS to get to the cabin. Thank you again for a great stay!
