Great place, location, and service!

Great place, loved it. Exactly as described and a wonderful location. Only thing to be aware of is that there is only AC in the bedroom. We saw this in the description and planned for it...it was fine. Thanks so much!

Near the beach and shopping

Quiet and near the beach, shopping and good restaurants. The condo has a lot of space but without air conditioning in the living space it gets really warm on the upper floor. It's a good condo, interior is older and could use some updates.

Pleasant spot in Poipu

The apartment is wonderfully located, with a great view down the central lawn and walkway to a small piece of the sea and waves. Furnishings are comfortable and a bit more elegant than many vacation spots. It was hot and stuffy when we arrived but once we opened all the louvers, there was almost always good airflow and a pleasant temperature. We would return here if it is available in the future.

I will start with what was positive. The location was great and the unit very spacious with a nice view and lots of light. Kitchen quite well equipped although odd to only have 3 wine glasses that were all mismatched. Parking nice and convenient. Pool and tennis court facilities are fantastic and the grounds are well taken care of. The king mattress in the bedroom was very comfortable and the bedroom was HUGE! Nice layout.Unfortunately the unit is so so hot. They have an AC but only in the bedroom and the bedroom is on the back side and gets no sun, so doesn't heat up. The front room is so hot you have to close all the shades and why get an ocean view place that you can't see outside from. So uncomfortable and this is February. Unfortunately all the furniture is very old - it is not the couch and chairs or the dining set in the pictures. The couch and chairs have been replace with one couch and no chairs. The place feels really old...the side of the fridge has rust on it and the cabinet door finish is all scratched off. Terrible old dishwasher that didn't clean dishes well. The bedroom smells very very musty with old carpet and a lot of old stuff kept in the closet. I couldn't sit in the chair beside the bed due to the smell. The place really needs a complete renovation...tile in the shower really old. We have been to Hawaii 30 plus times and this is the only rental we have stayed in that we would never return to. Too old, too smelly and way too hot.

We loved the location of this property and got amazing sunrise and sunset views. It was well stocked with various items we needed in the kitchen and for the beach, though these all need to be updated. However on the negative side, there is no AC in the living areas which made it extremely hot inside even with all the fans and windows open. The appliances and furniture also need to be updated as they are older. Overall, the stay still was a pleasant one but my partner and I walked away with a new found appreciation for modern air conditioning :)

Paradise

A very nice condo with a view of the ocean. It is well equipped with kitchen appliances. It is in a great location, close to restaurants and a very short walk to the beach. I would stay there again.

Amazing View

We have stayed in many condos in Kahala, Poipu Kai, and this one had the best view of the ocean. Sunsets were beautiful and a short walking distance to the beach, two restaurants and the Grand Hyatt made for a spectacular location.

All you need!

This second/top story. one-bedroom is in a terrific location with wonderful ocean views. The lanai is a great place to hang, day or night. The kitchen is stocked with more utensils and appliances than my home! Easy access parking. Although it would accommodate a family of four with small children, it would not be suitable for four adults. There is a free-standing AC unit in the bedroom; no central AC. It got a bit toasty in the afternoon but you can go cool off in the pool, which is a short walk away. I would stay here again.

Beautiful Condo

The condo is beautiful and the property grounds are so nice! The location and view are amazing and a close walk to the beach. We used the pool every day! Everything was well stocked, including beach chairs, umbrella and coolers. The bed was very comfortable. The only negative was the A/C unit in the bedroom needs updating. Overall the place is clean and the views from the balcony are beautiful!!

Shower could be better cleaned or perhaps renovated so it could be better cleaned. Great view and location. Contact person most helpful. Umbrella on lanai would be great so it could be used more often.

August Kahala 322

The location was great and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The bathroom needs updating. There is A/C in the bedroom, but not the rest of the house which made it very uncomfortable. Even with all the windows open it was very warm. We spent the majority of our time out of the condo. In the early morning and evenings you would get a nice breeze if you sat on the deck. Close walk to the beach, pool, tennis and a gas grill which was nice.

Just Like the Pictures

Enjoyed our stay. Well equipped kitchen, even though we had carry out for the most part. Nice proximity to local beaches in southern Kauai, as well as good location of the condo itself within the complex (near the tennis/pickleball courts and pool). Could walk to nearby restaurants and coffee shops if desired and many within a short drive. Only caveat is that AC is a floor standing model and only located in the bedroom, none it the rest of the condo. Apparently the majority of condos built in this era had no central AC. Just something to be aware of as it can get a bit muggy given the climate.

Great location and ocean view

AC unit is like a loud generator when running. No chance to cool down bedroom through the night without it. If a light sleeper who meets a room under 80 degrees pick another place. Living room cools down with all windows opened all night and no roosters on property but plenty of crickets and other noises to make up for no crowing. Great location and 5 min walk to poipu Beach. Blinds in bedroom broken as well so lots of light comes in morning. Great beach equipment to use as well and pack n play for baby too.

You get what you pay for !

What are your objective? It is a great View. Quiet Condo. The lowest price with a good view. Comfortable Bed. Everything you would want in the kitchen. The owner keeps the price low vs. Other condo that are the same at Suite Paradise. If you want a new Kitchen. new Carpet. New Furniture; then the owner most Likely will raise the price for the cost. Now I am only assuming. I don't mind the humidity in Hawaii; But some would. The A/C is mediocre ; but electricity is Super expensive in Hawaii. California is the exact same rate as Hawaii in electricity. So if you want to come back for wine on the balcony or breakfast in the morning this place is great. It is nice that you have TWO balconies. One Balcony looks towards the sea on the Green-belt. The other balcony is off the master bedroom overlooking large plants . Quiet and Not near the parking lot like a lot of other condo. Would I return. Yes. As long as the price is low; if it goes up; No. Hawaii. Kauai. Poipu is expensive. At least for me. But coming here is a real treat.

Maintenance issues

All elements of the property were great, except the ceiling fan motor is going out and is very noisy. The property manager was contacted and quickly ascertained the maintenance guy would be there first thing the next morning. At noon, I asked when he would show up and he did 15 minutes later. He agreed the noise was valid and stated he would work to get a new ceiling fan from Home Depot and try to get it installed that afternoon. The next morning we had not heard from him as he stated he would keep us informed. In the end, that information was not communicated to the property manager and no ceiling fan was installed.

Unit as shown.

The unit is exactly as shown. However, the complex turns the sprinklers on at about 3:00 a.m. and they come on in cycles waking you up every half hour. Then the roosters start crowing between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m. The unit is also uncomfortably hot. You can open the windows overnight but then you wake up to the sounds of sprinklers and chickens. You can turn the air conditioner on in the bedroom and just get used to the sound of a jet engine. The washing machine was not working and was unable to be repaired during our stay. Vacasa is wonderful though. Blake was especially helpful. The unit is big and roomy if you need the extra space. We were there in October so maybe it's not so hot during the winter months. Maybe management at the complex can change the sprinkler schedule. The complex is in a nice location and has good amenities.

Wonderful!

Clean and quiet condo with lots of space. Great kitchen and bathroom plus lots of windows and ceiling fans. The views were lovely and we enjoyed the pool and ability to walk to Brennecke's beach and restaurant. There were Turtles and Sea Lions resting on the sand at nearby Poipu beach.

Good Location, Nice Property

This property was very comfortable, in a very good location. We could see the ocean in the distance and could definitely hear it. The entire complex was very quiet and relaxing. The reason I gave it a 4 is because it is looking a little worn. While it was clean enough, the place really needs a deep cleaning., which is not unusual in units that are not new.
