This authentic log cabin sits on 41 private acres, offering a serene mountain escape with direct access to BLM land, the San Isabel National Forest, and Tanner Trail. Ideal for hiking, ATV/dirt bike adventures, and GMU 69 hunting.

Upper Level

Primary Suite: Features a private sanctuary with a king bed, pull-out sofa sleeper, and an ensuite bath complete with a stand-alone soaking tub and Roku TV.

Main Level

Living & Dining: Includes a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor dining on the covered patio with Pikes Peak views, and two cozy living spaces—one featuring a wood-burning fireplace and the other a pellet fireplace heater. In spring and summer, enjoy hummingbirds right on the porch.

Bedrooms & Baths: Two king bedrooms, one full bathroom, and an additional half bath.

Basement Game Room & Bunkroom

Entertainment: Outfitted with a TV living area, foosball table, and a Pac-Man arcade game.

Sleeping Setup: Comfortably sleeps multiple guests with three twin beds and one queen bed.

Outdoor Amenities

We had a great stay at this cabin in Cañon City. It was spacious, peaceful, and the perfect place for my college friends and me to come back to and unwind after a day of whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the quiet setting made it a great home base for our trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Hosting is kind of my happy place. I love creating cozy, welcoming spaces where guests can kick off their shoes, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy a break from the daily chaos (trust me, I know a thing or two about chaos—three kids will do that to you!).

What makes the Mountainside Hideaway truly unique? It’s that perfect balance of “middle of nowhere” peace and “close enough to grab snacks in 12 minutes” convenience. Nestled on a remote 41-acre property, it feels like you're off the grid—surrounded by nature, quiet, and endless sky—but you’re just a short drive from town when you need groceries or forgot the marshmallows.

The home comfortably sleeps 13+ (and yes, I’m happy to provide air mattresses if you need them!). I’ve worked hard to make sure the space is more than just a place to stay—it’s fully stocked and thoughtfully prepared so you can settle in and actually relax. I don’t think guests should have to run out for paper towels, laundry detergent, or the basics. Just show up, unpack, and enjoy your time—I'll take care of the little things.

What really sets this place apart, though, are the special moments it creates. Gaze at the stars under a truly dark Colorado night sky. Unwind in the hot tub after a day of hiking or exploring.
