Chateau Suisse is a cozy cabin located in Serene Lakes near Donner Summit and Sugar Bowl Ski Resort. It's nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac across the street from the lake and backs up to the Royal Gorge cross-country ski resort. Enjoy the fun winter activities or indulge in the peaceful serenity of the lakes in summer. Truckee and Tahoe are just a short drive away.

Great Serene Lakes Cabin

Very clean, well maintained and fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay in the mountains. The hosts were very easy to communicate with, we would definitely stay here again.

Incredible stay, incredible cabin, incredible host

My daughter and I went up for a weekend stay to ski Sugar Bowl and enjoy the snow. Mona and Randy were exceptional hosts with a pristine cabin. It was one of the best stays, cleanest most beautiful cabins and convenient experiences we've had on VRBO. We are looking forward to going back! Thank you Mona and Randy!

Serene Lakes Gem

This is a perfect home when visiting Serene Lakes -- 5 minute walk to the beach and easy access to trails for mountain biking, trail running and cross country skiing. The house is in great shape with everything you need when chilling out with your family/friends.

The most wonderful experience

This cabin and host are just amazing. I cannot say enough about how perfect this experience was for us. Incredible cabin, cleanest I have ever seen in the most beautiful setting. My family absolutely loved the home and the hosts were as responsive and as friendly as I have ever experienced on VRBO. Cannot say enough about our vacation - just incredible.

Wonderful Visit

We love this home. Upon arrival check in was seamless, the house is beautiful and was exceptionally clean. The neighborhood is perfect, an easy walk to the private neighborhood beach. My kids could ride their bikes safely and explore. One day we went into Truckee and Tahoe but for the rest of the visit we were very happy to just stay in Soda Springs. We can’t wait to visit this home again.

Perfect snowy stay

My family had a wonderful winter stay at the Serene Lakes cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and relax, and it is just 10 minutes to Sugar Bowl resort where we spent most of our time skiing. The kids also loved playing in the snow and walking to the frozen lake across the street. It snowed A LOT, but the driveway was always cleared in the morning with enough time for us to get the first lift! thanks for a great stay.

Summer by the lake

We had a wonderful stay with our parents and kids at this lovely home by Serene lake. We spent our days paddling around the lakes, playing at the beach and relaxing on the deck. The lake is just a 1 minute walk away which made it easy to assess for both the kids and the grandparents. The home was well equipped and check in/check out was smooth. Would love to stay here again next summer!

Wonderful experience for our family

Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Serene Lake property. The property owners were really communicative and helpful throughout. Our kids enjoyed the short walk to the beach and exploring the cabin. The amenities were excellent and everything was really clean and modern including the high speed internet that my husband used for remote work for the week. We just can't wait to get back up there!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We bought the land back in 2003, a couple of years after getting married. It was designed by Randy's father and built by Mt. Lincoln Construction. We completed the building in 2006 and added the side yard and porch in 2020. We love the serenity of the area, the proximity to Sugar Bowl and the ski resorts, the clean mountain air and how active the community is.
